Glad someone is doing research on this, thanks! "turning us into scattered and superficial thinkers, says Nicholas Carr." Besides ill effects on the brain, data mining & optical scanning is a huge profitable business for computer pushers. This explains why laptops are given away for free by major corporations. Hope people are finally waking up; it's beginning to look like Orwell's 1984!
