  • Can I drive it? hahaha. I wish I had a G-Body cutlass as nice as yours. It's very clean looking. My dad had a 1980 Cutlass 442 W30; white and gold, 350 rocket with the super range, I think one of only 1500 made. All that I got is a 2000 Saturn SL1. Oh well, it's a good car and it never lets me down especially with only 77,000 km on it haha.

  • Father of the year right there!!! Don't let the negative comments bring you down man them'z just people trying to rain on other peoples parades. Now-a-days people wanna protect there kids from everything and everything but your doing more harm not giving them experiences they need in life. Personally I wish my father did this, look at her smile and tell me hes not a good father. Hes a good man.

  • damn nice car

  • Thank u everyone defending my father. He is a hard working man... I don't get to see him anymore so just shut the hell up.... The things I do with my father doesn't affect u guys so go spend time with ur kids. Don't worry bout other peoples kids. I was 9 at the time and was the best memory I had with my father that I can remember so far... I'm 13 now and I miss him. Next time I see him we will share more family moments so keep your comments to yourselves if u have nothing nice to say...

  • My father had a 79 Cutlass, im in the process of buying one. He used to let me work on/drive it when I was young and I'm an very good driver. I feel when you start young you have a better appreciation/understanding. LOL when you said step on the gas, I thought the car was gonna spin out, she is very reserved. Nice car and vid.

  • And u guys are right I am 13 Now and I still remember that day like it was yesterday. Everything my dad has taught me I've remembered

  • Thanks guys who are defending my father:) I love him very much and I am very proud of him. And for those who think he's a bad father leave him alone if it's wrong to spend time with ur child then I'd rather him be guilty. I couldn't ask her a better father I love u dad:)

  • What a great dad "If you can start it you can drive it" Thats great

  • Just an awesome clean beauty of a car man. Your daughter did a great job btw and I gaurantee this will be a memory she keeps her whole lifetime. I still remember every single time my dad let me drive his car when I was roughly the same age. cheers bud

  • whats under the hood, what mods?

  • With all the cool crap that kids have access to now a days..like little tykes battery powered cars...go kart tracks and golf carts..by the time my kid was 14 he pretty much was able to drive my car with minimal problems. Was way different in my day.Cute kid ..:)

  • What motor do you have? sounds sweet.

  • Nice. We used to have a white 1985 Cutlass Supreme that my grandmother had sold to us. Three days after we filed car insurance on it, a tornado took it out. It was certainly a great car with lots of good memories behind it.

  • thats a bad ass car bro i got a 78 cutlass supreme

  • Those are Cragars.

  • I got a 84 cutlass supreme 455 still needs a lil work about done with it nice car cute kid

  • what wonderful video, my dad made me park its oldmovile when i was 9 years old and i crashed into a wall. now i am 29 and i think thanks of his leason untill now i have been never involved in an accident.

  • cragar ss

  • God! What a beautiful cutlass...great sound.

  • Murphy's Law.

  • i beleve that is the 1984 i had one the 88 that got hit by the drunk with us in it did not have the same head lights and a 307 , the 84 had a 305 better on gas and faster parents paid 14,800 $ for the 84

the 88 was just not the same but saved us from one crazy drunk ,,

was the car of the century 1984 most sold car in usa ,, i see them alot when i got south ,from canada , here we dont see them alot ,

  • hey bud that was my first car ,,, nice stuff bud nice she will remember that just like i did when my dad did the same then i got the car at 16 that car is verry special to me parent s bought another one that saved are lives in 93 and 88 we got hit by a drunk thx to that car im alive good frame !!!! but i still had the black 1984 at home and this video i love ur a good dad randy ottawa canada

  • Dang that car looks great.

The old school Cragar's look right at home on it.

  • haha, i like how ppl are whining like this is dangerous. its kids who never grew up with cars and guns that get themselves killed with them. kids these days are too sheltered

  • loll keep the brakes.... then step on the gaz...He really tried to make her do a burnout lolll and at the end, bring me home loll

  • I started driving my dads car as 9 year old and that was with manuel gear and only 136 Hp.

  • GOOD LUCK

  • i don't know why you wouldn't want to be in the car to put it in Neutral or grab the wheel just in case...

  • umm do you want to adopt a son for a day lol!!! cause your one hell of a dad

  • nice cutless. is that an 85?

  • its either a 81-87.. im in love with those models.. i have an 85 cutlass.. im trying to find a bigger engine for it tho.. its only got a 231 with headers right now

  • Don't change the engine. While the Buick "odd-fire" may be no one's favorite, it is a tiny engine that is set back far within the motor cage. The benefit to that? The car isn't nose-heavy. With such an arrangement the package will be a better balanced, and so a better handling car.

In love with the '78-'88 G-bodies?

    Good choice.

They're solid (full-frame!) vehicles, that were born classics and built to last. It's a indus-shame that they're not produced still.

  • actualy this 231 is "evenfire".. the older 231s were odd fire

  • CUTLASS SUPREME, MONKEY!

  • That is Cutlass Salon, Right?

    or Cutlass Calais?

omg I want to do that!

  • were was this video takin, looks fimiler, whos trucks r in the drive way

  • hey i was just wondering what engine your running?

  • Lucky little girl.......As a G-body Cutlass owner I love this video......VERY NICE CAR....and I am a FIRM believer in starting them young...hope you get her a Junior Dragster!

  • Damn nice cutlass. Some of you people need to relax. And the 2 most dangerous things are cars and guns? I dont see anything dangerous about what this dad did. I learned to drive at her age, driving in fields, and country roads.

  • way i see it i trusted my daughter as for a 9 yr old being mature as she is i felt no need not to trust her and as you can see in video she did a GOOD JOB. there is lot more illegal stuff going round in this site maybe you go bug others...i'm proud of my daughter cause she is a good daughter and she also is proud of her father cause i am a good father...maybe some of you that sit here and complain take some time and spend some quality time with your own kids...

  • PREACH IT SISTA!!!!!!!!

  • @flirtingphil That's a good way to let those jerks know, anyway continue being a good dad, and your Cutlass is ferocious, what do u have in her??

  • @flirtingphil man i think that is a cool thing, you must be a great dad. she may grow up to be a great racer too, always best to start young right ?

  • @flirtingphil No doubt. One of my favorite memories as a child was my uncle taking me to a mall parking lot when they were closed and letting me drive around his trans am. I was probably the same age as her, maybe 10 or 11 but I've never forgot it. This is the kind of memory that lasts with a kid forever, well into adult life.

  • @flirtingphil you have a good point i started driving when i was 10 and that was a nissan fronteir 5speed haha

  • @flirtingphil shut up if dis man think he need to teach his daughter at a young age let him who r u to juge his fatherness your mad cuz u fat n dnt get enough outside time wit your daughter go head n reply back wit your stupid comment bcuz im 14 so...yea

  • @flirtingphil she did good but i must admitt she scared the hell out of me i thought for sure she was gonna do an uncontrollable peel of the tires...that how my dad taught my sister and i how to drive

  • @wuta45 ya stop complaining about how hes raising his girl and go spend some time with ur own kids

  • Thats one of the best cutlass original ive seen, badass car, do u think the whole front of an 1986 cutlass grill thing will fit on an 1987 cutlass?

  • dude, ur 1 helluva dad man....

    1. u own an 80-84 cutlass w/ t-tops..

    2. you're teaching your daughter how 2 drive in it as well..

my dad started me off in 1 too when i was about 8.

he let the damn thing go for bout 00 bucks tho.

had a nice ass 350 with flowmasters on the back.

  • SWEET!! This film is most probably a historical first for YouTube, as well as modern times.

(I heard tales of the 20s-30s, were small kids were allowed to drive)

Honestly the beauty of little SammyKins combined with that gorgeous vehicle, makes this video all the more special.

This First Drive-event will be a bragging point for her, forever.

We need to see more Sammy!

Please continue to document her life here on YouTube.

    Well be watching.

  • huh..... creepy?

  • Creepy?

    Not a chance.

Admittedly, the event captured in this vid' was illegal under several prevailing statutes - even in Canada (ICK!) where the occurrence was filmed.

And the ride would have been far safer, if Lil' Sammy had been belted in (with a "booster" seat back), and if dad had been IN the Cutlass, and if that car had been in low gear rather than placed in overdrive.

Hey, go watch the feature-length film "Paper Moon," and get back to me, 'kay?

  • I think it's legal if it's your land and car, or out in the mountains on dirt roads, that's how I learned when I was 9.

  • ANY act can be viewed ( by a prosecuting attorney) as illegal.

Where's how: A law, any law can be interpreted in any number of ways. So it's a short hop to guess which way an attorney would choose to view a given law.

If the prosecution wants to hammer at an issue, and if the defense (in this case a truckdriver) doesn't have the capital to hire the suits necessary to combat the troublemaker (the Pros. Att.) , then the Pros. Att. will win by default.

ItWouldCost a mill to prove innocence

  • true, it would depend on the situation and the attorneys

  • still, creepy.

  • Nuh, uh.

  • what a moment, i can only imagine how you felt

  • very nice video guy, what size of tires do you have on the rear?

  • You have some balls!! She did good though, I am sure she really enjoyed that.

  • What year is that

  • damn that car is badass, i used to have one too, but now i'm tryin to find another

  • You're the best dad man! What a moment!

  • Nice video, y'all are gonna cherish this. God bless you guys. Very nice Cutty btw

  • say what size rims and tires are those, im shopping for sizes for a n mc ss

  • I had to watch it twice and my son is 11 and he begs to drive my 80 cutlass and my 65 cutlass convert. She is going to be a good driver by the time she is 16, i know that feeling of watching them drive your baby, the world must wait while your letting them do this, Stay cool there DAD.

  • too young for a cutty, have one myself and no little girl driving mine period!

  • aww man i wish my cutlas sounded like that well maybe in the future and maybe then ill let my doughter drive it well when i have one lol

  • your a great dad dude. sam drives better than most people out there. loved the video sam did great.

  • nice ride

  • "if you can start it, you can drive it" lmao...nice vid

  • how is he an idiot, its his car, his daughter, and from the looks of it she has enough sense to not do anything stupid

  • Awesome!

My 12 yr old daughter has already run one car into another trying to jumpstart (very low speed, no damage - she just didn't keep her foot on the clutch after it started). Just yesterday she drove us home from the mailbox (About 1/2 mile, private road and I was in the middle seat with my foot near the pedals)

I don't think I have the guts to let her drive by herself yet! Your daughter does a good job of "touching" the gas. Very impressive!

  • I agree about the "touch".

She seems like a smart girl, what with the way that she managed it.

She's going to be a waaaayyyyyy better driver than the parents who throw their kids out there in the SUV with some crappy driving school lesson.

  • thats a nice car what all is done to it?

  • id be breathin heavy to:P

  • What kind of wheels are those i think id like to put some on mine

  • cragar s/s

  • Nice video,I miss my 85.

  • great cutlass man...good family videos and priceless too...wish I have kids where I can get to do what you did

  • makes me think about when my dad let me drive our dump truck when i was little

  • Good father she will watch this video when she gets old and realize how much her dad loves her. video of a moment in life cherished with humor.. hahaha take me home in the end that was funny

  • wow i cant wait until my cutlass looks like that

  • Great vid and nice Cutlass too!

Brings back memories of when I was 12 and my dad let me drive the family's 1970 Impala around the Kmart parking lot.

  • my fuckin dream car listen to that bitch!...sounds lika fuckin monster!...

  • YOURE A BRAVE MAN..

  • that is the cleanest cutlass ive ever seen

  • This video brings back memories of my dad letting me drive his cars at that age. You can plainly see that "ole dad" loves his Sammy! I got a 2 year old daughter that loves being behind the steering wheel, and this video makes me anxious for the day to come for her turn :) Great video! I'm saving it to my favorites.

  • "sam driving my car, what the hell am i doing" hahah great video once again.

  • That's the cutest dang thing I've seen in a while! :)

  • My 11Y/O son is in love....LOL! Would Sam go out with him in his Dad's 69 H/O in a few years? LOL! Awsome video! She'll remember that the rest of her life. What a good Dad you are. My Dad let me drive for the first time when I was 9. Very exciting time.

  • Hehe..ya just never know....guess we are cool people...

  • do u hae a son ?

  • nope no son...

    Nice engine sound!

  • when i was around her age my father taught me in an 86 Cutlass 442 same color no t tops but wow seeing that brings back some awsome times . good on ya man cant wait to teach my kids to drive

  • i give u 8 thousand for that cutlass, let me know something when u get this message

  • hehe 8 grand...ya must be pretty desperate haha

  • its called trust and it starts at that age or younger

  • This is probably the most intelligent thing that I have ever seen posted at this site.
