  • gives taiji a bad name this is total BS

  • To be clear I do not doubt what he is doing I am simply clarifying that it is Chinese Martial arts NOT Tibetan Buddhism.

  • cynics should just have the balls to find out directly through experience.

  • @AmidaWuji Tru dat. "The only real truth is the experienced truth."

  • @gophd if it's fake, Singapore Police wont invited him off idiot lol

  • @Lomefloxacin Obviously. No invitation if fake. Singapore law enforcement is severe. They summarily execute drug dealers. To see decades of dedicated training underpinning the very real powers that Lama DD demonstrated for Singapore Police, see clip of his 1997 demo of 5 Tai Chi styles at Cosmopolitan Health Show in London. I'm not acquainted w/LamaDD. I am Tai Chi instructor in Calif. with 40 yrs of training and mastery of 3 internal systems. His Tai Chi & energy work is sublime.

  • It is fairly easy to call something completely bogus. But I think many people forgot how. much. work. (years, decades) goes into cultivation.

Positive energy (honesty, kindness, love, light) exists.

Negative energy (hate, greed, jealousy, anger) exists.

    Positive displaces negative.

    Negative can destroy a person.

Who is in harmony with all things? Or most things? Some things?

  • How did he get a Tibetan name LOL Some sort of propaganda I guess. This is the typical Chinese CHI martial arts stuff NOT Tibetan Buddhism like they are trying to make people think.

  • @SangyeChoga He is a monk who studied under Penor Rinpoche. pathgatedotorg

  • @AmidaWuji Hmmm interesting but what he is doing was not taught to him by Penor Rinpoche. He's doing Chinese martial arts NOT practicing Tibetan Buddhism in this video. I think it's unfortunate that the video is not more careful about creating this sort of confusion. It could be much clearer what he's demonstrating rather than trying to tie this to Tibetan Buddhism. Not to mention Dharma is not taught through fancy tricks and martial arts demonstrations.

  • @SangyeChoga It can be.While I was staying in the monasteries of Nepal I frequently saw the young Tibetan monks playing rough with martial techniques. There are also advanced techniques in gtummo that allow the student to manipulate the elements to throw an attacker away. While it is not the goal of Buddhism, it is a skill that is taught for self protection. From a Buddhist perspective it can be an act of skillful means, or compassionate wrathful action.

  • @AmidaWuji Remember though wrath in TB terms does not arise from the motivation of aggression or hatred, but out of an understanding of method and wisdom conjoined.

  • @AmidaWuji I love that you say "it CAN be". I'm quite sure the fact remains it's NOT. This is a demonstration of Chinese CHI work like we have seen on YouTube for years. I find this sort of spectacle doesn't quite reach the level of true Dharma. Parlour tricks aren't necessary for authentic Dharma to spread.

  • @SangyeChoga Isn't one of the four-fold Boddhisatvva vows to learn "innumerable gates to the Law" in order to liberate all sentient beings? Lama Dondrup in this workshop footage clearly articulates how he uses Chinese martial arts training as a Gate to guide students to find the "guru within" (Buddha-nature, Christos, Godhead, whatever you want to call Divinity). That intent alone makes the Lama's teachings part of the Dharma.

  • @zenbear008 I'll just leave it at I am glad this man is teaching CHI work and other martial arts to the police force. I am sure the police force will find it very helpful.

  • @zenbear008 It may be helpful to clarify he is using the language of Qigong in his teaching. I did not mean to diminish anything. Simply as I have learned it's not a good idea to mix traditions. I've been instructed to leave a 30 minute gap between Qigong practice and Yoga or Shamatha, for example. When the teacher here speaks of the Dan Tien it is a specific term used in Qigong. It does not exist in Tibetan Buddhism. These traditions although complimentary are different, I respect them as such.

  • Also doesn't work against these jiu-jitsu students: watch?v=qa1nzD-n25Q Why? Because its fake.

  • Chi vs MMA. Funny how it doesn't work against 1) someone who isn't a student and 2) People who train to fight for real. Please copy and paste: watch?v=gEDaCIDvj6I

  • I am offended by use of "Buddha Nature" in title. My cup is empty but please don't try to pour human shit in it and then tell me it's chocolate soy milk.

  • hear and i forget , i see and i remember , i feel and i know .... clear to the clear

  • to those people who said this is fake, on what basis that u think this is fake? don't judge anything too soon wiht ur limited knowledge. Keep ur mind opened and keep learning..

  • If you think it's a fake - try to jump and move exactly like that by yourself and you get that it's impossible to do. They all must have a super abilities for that. And think before and after being skeptical imho.

  • Fake. You would think human beings would stop doing this type of stuff. Come on already, just stop it.

  • Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje is a very respected Tibetan Lama who has dedicated his life to help others and holds many teachings in his lineage. I highly doubt he would be faking something like this for the sake of vanity or power. It goes against the very nature of his path!

  • amitaba & thank you sifu.

i will share this meassage with my students. i have told them these things in various ways, but your way i feel will still help them. it has helped me even though i know & try to apply these things daily. amitaba

  • A few old Lamas even can be tested their brains produced γ brain wave when they are in very deep medications. Ancient Chinese felt the electricity running through the body, but they did not know anything about electricity, just learned we could feel it and control it by concentrating on our breathing or our body movement. They thought it was from the air they inhaled, so they called it “Chi”, air.

  • Chi (氣) in Chinese, it means "air". It is not a mystery, just kind of subtle electricity in our body. Nowadays many scientists have proved it. Usually, when a man stands still, his breath and heartbeat can produce 10 ~ 15 millivolt of the static electricity, but during meditation, the static electricity can be up to 3 volt. Some Chi masters could be tested ejecting the static electricity up to 190 volt!

  • chi is intent.

  • oh come on !! how can you say this is real,,,,,,,, i have an open mind < but < these people are bad actors :)

  • @lackofcompasion y dont u look up the art of qiqong before u start critising something u know nothing about

  • @gophd Trust me. This is not fake at all.

  • @cobrajitsu total fake, this isnt taiji!!! totally dishonors internal martial arts and Buddhism

  • @cobrajitsu Totally fake-real taiji but fake nonetheless.

  • @cobrajitsu total bs....i wish it was real

  • footwork is the key to martial arts

at no point are the so called 'attacker's feet in a position to allow him to strike. His back leg is always in the wrong place - either he is faking, hypnotised or just a muppet. either way he certainly poses no real threat at any point.

Its a shame that Buddhism is being cheapened by such mumbo jumbo theatrics.

  • This man is a very accomplished martial artist, an adept of many styles. You could present the argument that his assistant acted, but what about the police at the seminar? Did they play along or is this man on to some thing?

  • do ur research

  • okay... though i've experienced a lot of weird stuff that i has yet to be explained, how do we know that this isn't choreographed?

skepticism isn't the "bane" of this kinda thing, it's just acknowledging that some of us would like a little more evidence before jumping into the deep-end.

  • @WMBrown There's nothing deep about it. Mind control is real and we can access each others feelings and emotions. The is no supernatural here. Chi is real as there is a force that permeates from the material to the immaterial. This only proves the laws of physics.

  • @cobrajitsu this guy has skill but anyone who understands internal martial arts sees this for what it is.Totally fake!he cant do this to anyone but his own students.

  • @cobrajitsu The Force is strong with this one

  • Great observation Cobra. If it is indeed mind control, if it works, it works. For this guy, it doesn't really matter. He can use external force and many physical martial arts. Some of them are quite deadly as I have seen his applications.

  • Whoooooaaaaaaaa , when he starts to bend the spoon

  • iteresting, does the bad guy feel a shock ? does the chi give you more strength ? do they feel that feeling of when you hit your funny bone? if its iust pain bad guy feels , that would not nessesarly work. but if it is a force with hard stopping power (like train) then thats just amazing . how much of its just other guy being intimidated?

  • I wonder if he can move inanimate objects.

  • This stuff is quite amazing but it is hard for me to think of a use for it, aside from impressing friends at parties. Maybe security guards or policemen could use it, but I doubt it. If everyone knew this sort of thing, the world would become one big Chinese martial arts movie.

  • @ironpirites lol... imagining the world as one big chinese martial arts movie makes me chuckle :) will there be poor english overdubs?

  • Absolutely. The US will soon become a Chinese movie with closed caption. But, the world is what you make of it. These does not work if you don't believe it does. So it's like mind control. But, what is mind control? Why can people "control" others minds? Do you want to know why?

  • @cobrajitsu I want to know why.

  • It's funny because it's mind control. Do you believe in mind control?

  • This video is so bogus ... all I can do is laugh. The guy @ 0:50 doesn't look like he's got any balance on his own and at times look slike he is intentionally running away instead of bein gpushed. I call shannanigans!
