  • MORE REVERB.thanks

  • Jimmy Gillmer joined them later. Jimmy had an LP titled Buddy's Buddy; when in truth he never even met Buddy Holly! This is def Chuck Tharp on vocals. Joe

  • Thanks, 54!! A great rocker for sure!!

  • Great photos! Great 45!

  • Thanks for posting this one. I'd heard of it, but never had heard it. Is that Chuck Tharp on vocal?

  • @richadNtexas

yes as far as i know it should be.

  • @54Richie ~ Hey Richie....OMG......as a young kid (60's) ...I always had a tight ponytail or 2 ponies...my cousin Jerry always flicked my ponies...(much to my dismay) and say .."little pony tails"..his father was a musician.....NOW I know why he did it..and why he said it the way he said it..kinda sing-song.."little pony tails"..LoL...mystery solved...I dont remember this song, but a musician would know it...especially a guitarist......hooray...:o)

  • I dig it ,daddy-o! Didn't the Fireballs also do "Sugar Shack"? Also Norman Petty who was their manager and Buddy Holly's manager dubbed them on to some Holly songs after he (Buddy) died. If you have the "buddy holly lives" anthology you hear the fireballs on a few cuts.

  • @kingbee39

Yes indeed you're right on all fronts..i remember buying the Album "Giant" in the late '60's/early 70's which was all unfinished cuts from Buddy and the Fireballs were on that..Think the tracks turned out okay but personally don't like the newer tracks that are going around where The Picks have been added..
