This look really did come in handy - and it was very quick, understated and chic when I wore it Christmas day for a Family gathering. Just wanted to say this look is amazing!! And I found that a good alternate for the Illamasqua Pure Pigment in Ore is Loreal Chrome Shine in silver brown! Goes with the No7 Cappucino shade really well!!

I just adore a red lip; recently, I have found that all the "Cognoscenti" agree on one thing: that there really is no No Maintenance means of maintaining red lips. We just have to resign ourselves to "working the lip" and kissing and eating and drinking and all other normal oral activities must temporarily take a back seat to the look. I was at a NYE party this past week (obviously) and I just wanted you to know that I used your technique for making dramatic lips last like in your Dita Von Teese inspired matte red lip vid. It honestly is the best technique! My lipstick didn't budge the entire night, even after eating and drinking. I even got asked how I got my lipstick to stay on!
I'm having so much trouble finding the right foundation for me! I thought if anyone can help... it'd be you! Can you recommend something that's good for pale/yellow dry skin, gives a med/full coverage and has a NATURAL looking finish that will last? I loved the finish of Dior Nude Skin, but they didn't have the right color for me. BB Luminous was ok, but kind of greasy. EL Double Wear - so dry! If something comes to mind, please let me know! I'd appreciate it so much.
@MackenzieSala have you ever tried Chanel Vita Lumiere...I've used that in my kit for a long time for shoots and red carpet events... I dont know if they will have the right shade for you maybe take a look x
I have a Lift Lumiere, and the color is pretty good... but I don't love it. I find it doesn't stay put and it lacks coverage. Is the Vita Lumiere different in those ways?

That is actually pretty gorgeous, I personally use more black around the eyes, kinda smokey, and I like the lips without the gloss and more red, that's kinda orange. Also I never use foundation because I actually am no good at it and my skin is quite white during winter and my eyebrows are prety dark brown so I don't really need to make them stronger, but I do think you are a genius and I really admire your make-up and calm hands, when i do something touchy like eye liner my hands start shaking.

@jubidzz try holding your mirror farther down and keeping your head straight so your eyes are just looking down. it helps keep the mascara from hitting your eye lids!

@PinkRambles the 217 is fatter and bushier so slightly better for blending. I really like some of the newer foundations and will try to include them and my thoughts x

i think it's amazing you reveal what your skin really looks like before applying makeup- you have redness and the occasional spots (like me) its brilliant to see how perfectly you conceal it- revealing that it's possible for even ppl with problem skin to create a flawless look. I read that you are still using that Lierac Concealer / treatment and was wondering if it really works...I´ve got dark circles under my eyes and I can´t get rid of them. I use Helena Rubenstein Magic Concealer right now and one from The Body Shop. I´ve used the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat and some others too but non of them really worked on me...
i was skeptical when you were going to put the gloss on but you just perfected it! your lips went from 'boring but sophisticated matte' to 'luscious and soft' Love it!

I wear bright and deep red lipstick year round, nearly every day because I don't have much to play up in terms of eyes. They're not hooded yet but they're typical SE Asian (lidded but closed towards the nose) and I wear glasses so I play up my lips instead.

@PinkRambles the 217 is fatter and bushier so slightly better for blending. I really like some of the newer foundations and will try to include them and my thoughts x

I love all of your make up videos and I think you're really good at explaining everything you do. I have a question for you:
I'm 13 and I wear some eyeliner and mascara to school every day. But I was wondering when you think would be a good time to start wearing foundation. Because some girls in my class already wear foundation, and some don't wear any make up. I don't have horrible acne, but just a couple of spots sometimes. Do you think I should wear foundation already? Thanks! x

i think it's amazing you reveal what your skin really looks like before applying makeup- you have redness and the occasional spots (like me) its brilliant to see how perfectly you conceal it- revealing that it's possible for even ppl with problem skin to create a flawless look. Love your videos as always!!

I am wondering what is you skin undertone-warm or cool...It seems to be warm but I can´t really tell.
It may sound stupid but I have some dificulty clasifying my own skin...lol...It´s a huge confusion...

Do you know a good eye cream or gel that will help take away shine? My eyes are hoodied and the shine or oil have always bothered me. My skin is very extreme combination.. Thanks so much for making videos, you're now my favorite guru on here! :) Very inspiring.

Beautiful as always! Considering the red lip was quite an orange look, would you recommend this to more women towards olive and yellow skin tones? Might look a bit off on classic english roses, so to speak? I'm eurasian so I reckon I could pull that off. :) Beautiful Lanvin on you, btw!

I have to say JuicyTuesday has nailed it. You are stunning, classy, classic just a beautiful women. You voice is enchanting, I could listen to you all day. This look is amazing. However I cant sport a RED lip, what else might you suggest for this look? I can wear dark colors but red on me just doesn't work.

I am not a fan of the 'dead nude lips', which seems to be a crazy all over YouTube. I think ladies look soooooooo much better wearing brighter colours. You look beyond beautiful. Fantastic!

I've seen your videos about concealer, foundation and primer, but just wanted to ask if you can tell us more about the products? Thers such a variety in the market and you know and have worked with so many different products. Can you talk about powders maybe? Like which one's natural, which one controls oil or adds luminosity. I'm dreadful at makeup
Also, maybe you could tell us about things that you don't like so that we can avoid them. Pretty please :)

Your tips and tecniques are just brilliant!
I read that you are still using that Lierac Concealer / treatment and was wondering if it really works...I´ve got dark circles under my eyes and I can´t get rid of them. I use Helena Rubenstein Magic Concealer right now and one from The Body Shop. I´ve used the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat and some others too but non of them really worked on me...

I wear bright and deep red lipstick year round, nearly every day because I don't have much to play up in terms of eyes. They're not hooded yet but they're typical SE Asian (lidded but closed towards the nose) and I wear glasses so I play up my lips instead.
