@allthebest501 You ask why music is so boring now? It's because of the record company owners and the grand zionist plan to destroy all art and humanity. You only need to see their politics and their destruction of all art to see this. They are destroyers of nations and humanity
I love this version. I watched the original version before this one and I was thinking I would love to hear this with a stronger guitar. simple wishes do come true.
Hi, ANDREWMUZAK. I'm fairly sure that it was PETER Shelley who recorded "Love me, Love my dog," and PETE Shelley who was in the Buzzcocks. Ergo, hawkeyepierce12 is right. I can see why this mistake gets made, though. Back to the song - I remember this from the 90s or so - a great, archetypically English minor classic, with consciousness-raising as an added bonus to its great musicality (pretentious - moi? :-))

Pete Shelley & The Buzzcocks are boring, dull and mindless. Only good thing in the Buzzcocks was Howard Devoto, who left the band and formed Brilliant band Magazine(Fortunately):)
yes they did, duran duran made a cover of this song in their album Neon Lights, thye made covers of Bowie, Doors, pete shelly, Kraftwerk and others :D
Why is the music so much more boring now? Jeez...eighties rock rules.

The original 12" version of this song is available on a compilation called 'Devolution' which includes a number of great 12" singles from that eara.
Pete Shelly had a brief period as 'Zip' too in the mid 90's, and has toured with the Buzzcocks since then.
