  • Why is the music so much more boring now? Jeez...eighties rock rules.

  • @allthebest501 You ask why music is so boring now? It's because of the record company owners and the grand zionist plan to destroy all art and humanity. You only need to see their politics and their destruction of all art to see this. They are destroyers of nations and humanity

  • @SouthernCross33 Thanks for explaining it to me, you fucking nutjob.

  • @allthebest501 You know nothing moron, stay asleep all is ok,PPFFFTTT

  • absolutly LOVE this song

  • Awsome song.............it was good when it came out and better now....

  • sounds like blur !

  • pete shelly

  • I LOVED this song when it came out in the early 80s. His voice sounds great live. Thank you for posting.

  • What a great song! Always loved it. Thx for posting....and thank God for FM radio - we'da never gotten NUTHIN' good without it!

  • "And I think of your eyes in the dark and I see the star. And I look to the light and I might wonder right where you are."

  • I love this version. I watched the original version before this one and I was thinking I would love to hear this with a stronger guitar. simple wishes do come true.

  • No it is really the same guy hawkeye. He just prefers that people forget his early 70's stuff

  • Wrong, they are 2 different people.

  • Hi, ANDREWMUZAK. I'm fairly sure that it was PETER Shelley who recorded "Love me, Love my dog," and PETE Shelley who was in the Buzzcocks. Ergo, hawkeyepierce12 is right. I can see why this mistake gets made, though. Back to the song - I remember this from the 90s or so - a great, archetypically English minor classic, with consciousness-raising as an added bonus to its great musicality (pretentious - moi? :-))

  • Wow they really pulled this off well live.

  • I prefer his very first single from the 70s called "LOVE ME, LOVE MY DOG".

  • is that an invitation to a bestiality threesome?

  • ANDREWMUZAK.

the peter shelley who sang "love me love my dog" and "gee baby, i love you" is different to this pete shelley.

  • pete shelley is a sapien

  • I hear a lot of "Something's Gone Wrong Again" in the verses of this song.

  • they actually encored this gig with "somethings gone wrong again".

  • LMAO!!! Is that you Howard? Stupidest comment I've ever read here!

  • Didn't Simple Minds do a cover on this song?

  • nope

  • yes they did, duran duran made a cover of this song in their album Neon Lights, thye made covers of Bowie, Doors, pete shelly, Kraftwerk and others :D

  • The original 12" version of this song is available on a compilation called 'Devolution' which includes a number of great 12" singles from that eara.

Pete Shelly had a brief period as 'Zip' too in the mid 90's, and has toured with the Buzzcocks since then.

  • I am searching for a download of the original song by Pete Shelley from the 80s.

  • Same here, never saw this live! ah, the early 80s...

  • Pete is allways awsome with the Buzzcocks, they tour quite often really worth seeing him live.

  • I love this song so much, wish I could have seen him live too! Does really well, live and all! Thanks for posting, ; )

  • Really really cool. I've never seen this performed live. Thanks.
