I know the 2 is coming to the US, but its most likely going to be the 5 door hatchback only. i was really looking forward to the 2 door. :/

mazda 2 is coming to north america in 2010 they just confirmed it! only the 1.5 gasoline version.

If Ford/Mazda were smart they'd spin the
Mazda 2/Verve/Fiesta off the same platform and bring them here next year. Not 2010.

I can't believe they are not going to bring this car to the US. The new oil shocks of our century are here and the parent company is going to keep Mazda focused on crossover vehicles.
PS- The Ford Fiesta has been and always will be a cheap POS. Even if it's a rebranded Mazda2.

Mazda 2 so much better looking then anything made by Toyota and Honda!!!!!!!! The only two Japanese brands to look at are Mazda and Nissan. Toyotas and Hondas are pieces of shit!

I own a Mazda 2, it really is the best looking small hatchback for it's price. Toyota and Honda are not pieces of shit. If you look at the new Honda Accord euro it definitely out classes the new Mazda 6. It won wheels car of the year in Australia.Honda's hot hatchback the type-r civic is very striking to look at! How about the Nissan Tiida. I would hate to own one. But then again Nissan make the GTR. So a lot of manufactures have their strengths and weaknesses, doesntmake them completely shit.

think about it? honda accord is acura tsx here in states and in a luxury devision--Mazda 6 is not even close.if you match it with honda accord in N-america- it will even it out--also have you seen an sport tune accord like mazdapeed 6 with all-wheel-drive? i dont think so. not even the acura tsx---or honda accord oversies..
