Prairie View A&M likewise has a 60.6% rate. Tech is a far more prestigious school than either of these two. You can't tell how selective a school is just by comparing acceptance rates. Besides, A&M has roughly double the amount of top 10% admits in its freshman class than Tech does--look it up on the college board website.
