well...bernice sings good in cantonese, most tvb stars dont speak really well in mandarin unless they grew up with it because its hard to learn when you know canto. i guess thats y i suck at it :P

No, I think knowing Canto makes it easier; it's better than if you don't know Chinese at all. It's more like you need to force yourself to perfect the pronunciation through repeting the words. It's a time investment, but definitely doable. Heck, Junsu did a pretty good job with Zhang Li Yin, and he's Korean. Singing is not that hard since you don't worry about the tone too much...but speaking would be much harder. Screw up one tone...and the whole meaning changes.
