ATTENTION:

This is not a TRICKING tornado kick, this tornado ROUND kick, key word ROUND, is much harder and more useful than the tricking tornado, as this kick requires more coordination and technique, and this move can actually be used for a fight or a sparring match.

My dad is a 3 time Korean National champion and he said this tornado round kick is good.

@MrBadzooka It's a Taekwondo foot sock. We can use them when sparring. There is not a whole lot of padding on it, but they feel nice. I have the same pair.

I've always thought tornado kick, even though it's flashy looking (awesome really), is actually a pretty decent technique, at least within the confines of a sparring or formal match type environment between trained fighters. Too risky for an environment with groundwork allowed, but I'm pretty sure I could make this work in fc sparring.

this video helped a lot but whenever I try it looks more like a spinning front kick rather than a side kick (as in, my foot is pointing towards the sky, not the direction of the kick)

btw i used to do taekwondo when i was really little, I didn't get that far until i quit but I still remember most of the basics

Best kick ever. I started preforming it as a green belt (4th belt) in tae kwon do due to the mistake of a long since fired instructor, but thans to that mistake i was doing it at a black belt level as a red belt (7th belt). still my best kick to this day.
