How about adjustment settings when using the Processor & the mic EQ on the FT-950 ? as this is a whole different ball game , setting your audio by the ALC is standard practice . also with the stock mic or an after market base mic, audio is so frustrating at times to get exactly right for the surrounding environment .
Yes. Nice video. Two things. ALC actually stands for Automatic Level Control (classically, that is) . At the end of your adjustment, I would still advise a little less gain. It still quite regularly exceeds the ALC maximum.
I have an Icom 756 pro, and the Icom sm-20 micorphone. There is a mic gain on the radio and one on the mic as well. There is also a "low cut - on or off" on the mic as well. How would i set with both of these controls??
After watching your video,I went in and turned my radio on and set the mic gain up the way you described. I found I had mine too high! I cut it back to about 26 and it barely goes past the blue ALC graph as the video shows! Learned something today!
