Jimmy Page is anything but sloppy. You have to remember he always used a certain degree of improvisation which made people think he'd lost his way or made mistakes.
Incidentally, this is the best, most fluid Heartbreaker solo i've heard. I saw Page and Plant on three occassions and i can tell you Jimmy Page is certainly not sloppy; i'm a guitarist with 30 yrs experience and i should know!
@zeppyfan1977 : Hi zeppyfan 1977. Thanks for your reply; take a look at Page & Plant live "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You "; it's a great all round performance of a great song; very visual and dramatic.
I love this. There is a video of Jimmy Rocking out last month with some band. He played this song with them and just, WOOWW!!! It was awesome. He hit every note, improv the solo, was spot on and did it all with fire in his eyes like he was ready for this. It was surreal how good he played for 65 or so how old he is lol
At the roseland show in 99 they watched him with intent cause he was on fire they were literally staring at him during the lead the roseland show was the closest i would ever get to being at the real thing
today sept 25th is john 's anniversary of his death 30 years
He doesn't have the fast shredding ability that he had in Zeppelin but the guy is still a genious. Even though there are imperfections in this particular solo, the guy can still play and he can still send chills down your spine. Page is my hero.
I was at that show, too. My hubby saw Zep the Song Remains The Same at the Garden in the 70's He couldn't believe how good the Crowes were when we saw them. Thank so much for posting! \m/
Love this video. I saw this concert at Jones Beach and they were really awesome. I love the way they do this song and especially the way they end it so abrupt. Gives me chills!!!
Where can i get my hands on this video?
