The underhand exterior door pull handles, should have been the modern overhand pull handles. 275 horsepower from a V-8 is pretty piss poor, even for 2006 and even today, its still cranking out only 275 when V-6's are getting 300 and above.
I'm younger than this car's demographic (probably wayyyy younger), but I like it! If I had the money, I'd consider one for sure. Maybe a Lucerne (they're closely related).
Cadillacs are LUXURY cars not the xlr and the cts-v's im sorry but that is not a cadillac in my eyes. a cadillac is luxury big and wide high quality and look good any where. and a car that feels like its floating. i have a 1972 cadillac eldorado and it doesnt feel anything like my 04 cts does. cadillac needs the seville, deville, coupe deville, eldorado, and d'elegance (D'Elegance is the ultimate luxury verision of cadillac)

@benzguylv Agree too, these cars are overrated, GM's own Malibu and full size SUV's and Dodges Ram{I've been in all of them} are just as quiet and ride the same way. I think Toyotas Camry even has quieter ride. I've been in 2006, 2003,1996 Deville/DTS and 2000-05 Deville limo and found none of them impressive and worthy of the high price tag.
I love my Cadillacs but I will honestly say that I think they should style their cars less sporty and more luxurious. like my 1993 Deville, it has the most plush interior I've ever seen, our 2005 Deville isn't as plush, good ride, but I think it should be more plush.
And I don't think they should have got rid of the Fleetwood Brougham one of the last true RWD Luxury Cadillacs. now the only RWD'S left are the STS and CTS and I really don't like the CTS, it's alright but nothing I would buy.
I love how GM boasts technology in their Cadillacs yet they use a 4 speed transmission from the early 90's. That being said their new car line up seems preety good, hopefully GM gets back in teh game.
@7477238 i think mercedes and bmw are still using a lot of powertrain technology from the 90's also. most car companies try to use the same tech for atleast 15 years if they can. its good for reliability i think.

I think the front and back restyling made all the difference. The DTS is beautiful, I saw a light blue one at the auto show with the ivory interior and it made me really want the car!

CTS is the ONLY nice cadillac there has been since 1910. When they redesign the DTS and STS, I MIGHT agree with you. Until then, definitely not anywhere CLOSE to a good looking car. And don't even get me started on the interior. The new CTS is evidence of a loving future, but it is a future that has yet to really have been seen. The new SRX is the only new car to come from caddy since the CTS, which I also like. But in conclusion, my previous statement remains, DTS = FUGLY.

The XTS will be nice i think. But the new 2011 BMW 5 series (search it) is gorgeous. Cadillac has some tough competition with the new Audi A6 in 2012, the new mercedes e classe, infiniti m etc...
