You seem pretty well versed in BHO making, if you can reply to this i would greatly appreciate it...

I want to turn 1 lb of dankygoodness into BHO using vector at a quantity of 1oz danky = 1 320 ML can of vector...

I am expecting 2.5 ozs of oil on low end, 4oz on high, because when i make 1/4 oz to oil we get about 2.25 g.

Is that good yeild? and would 1lb yield that much

@nick5141995 2-3 LB's , and anywhere from 60-85%. But no way to really know with out getting it tested.

@thosemynikes its putting it on the stove that's causing it to turn black, you should never apply direct heat. And if you're using white coffee filters you should switch to the brown unbleached filters.

This doesnt change the chemical composition of Marijuana to make it stronger, it becomes stronger by concentrating the THC like a higher concentration of alcohol would do to a drink. however since the harsh parts are the plant parts around the THC, it makes it smoother more pleasurable, and easier to attain a more intense buzz

@rickerd44 avg yield using quality is one oz of of oil approx per pound of material/case of butane. it cost me 60-90 dollars to make one oz of amazing quality. My stuff is never this dark. always bright yellow, even after hours on the heat element. Its all about the material you use. You wont get more than 4 grams.

@faintfuzzies LOW heat over a long period of time. you are dehydrating the oil while removing bubbles, less water content ,more stable. if whipped and the strain is capable, it can budder. You can get your oil to do basically anything regardless of strain, its just harder to do certrain things to certain strains. for instance blue dream budders very stable with little to no effort or whipping whereas another strain would take alot more legwork to get the same style of oil.

@303marijuanareviews are you using extraction experts XL-stainless steel? yes! just ordered one! quick question... how do you get your oil, light, and amber colored? my oil is always dark and black.... maybe i do not purge right? i give it a hot water bath... THEN put the pyrex on the stove, on a very low temp to cook off the leftover butane, could this be what makes it black? (im using 5x and coffee filter)

@thosemynikes i would have been giving mine hot water baths but i wouldnt put it in the oven. the butane will work its way on in time. thats probably why yours was black. mine is a very vibrant gold color

@916BOONES916 i put the bowl i another bowl filled with warm water- slow cook is better. Then once bathed, i leave mine out to evaporate on top of a cable box/computer something to warm it up but not cause flame- 1-2 days- burns off any extra butane and makes it easier to scrape.

If you can mate, Try doing it with full nugs on the end so you don't hate you use a filter, thats a horrid waste on the filters

@Chibzilla I use a filter that is reusable, i haven't had to replace it yet. and i soak all the filters and razors in90 % isopropyl alcohol and run that liquid through that same filter and purge that for a few days to make some shatter glass type concentrate.

@303MarijuanaReviews get a vacuum for purging, im sure after making bho for a while you have like 250 dollars, get yourself a nice 3 CFm vacuum pump with 1 or 3 gallon chamber on it. trust me, some people don't realise how many hydrocarbons from the butane are still in the product, even if it does bubble all the way off. if you get a vacuum, and purge it that way it takes 1 whole hour for full purge with 10 bars of reverse pressure. so. evaporation just isn't good enough.

i have a question when your dripping butane becomes more clear than yellow do you syill keep on releasimg more butane into the tube? i gues how mich butane per fill or how fast do you changr out wats inside im really faded so sorry of this doesnt make sense

@dredank I usually stop expressing the butane a few seconds after the color changes from yellow to clear. I wasted a lot of fuel prior to learning that VERY LITTLE oil remains in the herbs by the time the liquid butane is coming out clear. You could hold it a few seconds longer if it makes you feel like you are gaining more product, but the oil vs. fuel issue is easy for me... I let up. Hope this helps. ALSO! be sure your butane does not contain propane! Some Chinese fuels contain propane.
