It's really sad, fame changes people a lot. Their music changes for lots of reasons, but I think the main reason is that the record lable that sings the artist tells them what to do, to change their music so it will become "more popular" )': Or they get lazy and they're like "Eh, I've made it to the big times, I don't have to work as hard as I used to."
