I'd just like to say that there is no reason not to put large windows in bedrooms, just put curtains up. Another thing, your house backs onto a cliff face - so who would be able to see in anyway? Plus if you are finding it that had to build a floor plan then build the house room by room. Most houses have their insides designed first, followed by the outer shape. Plus most bathrooms are near kitchens for the soil pipe. But apart from that it was a good video.

if you use a diagonal you don't ahve to "lose a triangle of space." Just leave the diagonal in the other room too. Not only do they make the rooms more interesting, but sims actually are programmed to like rooms with many corners.

Really nice. I'm actually gonna use the tips. But as you were saying small windows for bedrooms, I think what you meant to say was you can place large windows in bedrooms but if they are at a higher level cuz its difficult to see someone sleeping at a taller height.

I do have to say what I've seen on the sim 3 makes me happy with more veristile layouts of floor plans. Don't have to have so much space for everything! Which allows for me to stop having to adjust all my stock layouts I keep for personal places in my neighborhoods. I find taking those magazines on house plans and whatnot useful for learning to get some interesting and real house layouts that don't look stupid. going through those you can learn the basics.

I'm always amused by what people think makes a small house. Silly Flabiliki. Quite a few of the houses in my current 'hood are about 5x7 (2-3 floors), built for families of four or five.

You could have cut the bathroom out of the bedroom space, easily, and still crammed in a bed, dresser, and at least one endtable. -Zazazu

What's wrong with entering the living room through the front door? Many houses in the real world have that feature. Also even with the foyer you walk in there anyway. It's for aesthetic purposes and you know it.

I always have the hardest time with my windows. I always find it hard to make the windows look good and realistic from the outside and still have it be realistic and what not in terms of the rooms. I have a bit of OCD when it comes to my windows I hate when they are all wonky patterned. Anyways, great tut you gave me some great tips that will definitely help me.
