when i tried killin the prey before i got the egg, they didn't respawn when i left the area to area 3 and back to area 2 they didn't come back.

just a tip : If you cant bear the stress going through area 2 with all those velociprey. I suggest going through area 3,10, and take the shortcut from area 8 to the area 1.

lol i thought you were good at this game. i am newbie to mhf and evan i know that you run around the back of the dragon and not the front... trust me i have never faild with this method and he just flys away when you enter the cave

i started off by killing all the raptors first,then escorting the egg back,so the only thing you'd have to worry about is waiting for the dragon to leave and just staying away from the slow bee.

Awesome, I finaly beat that damn quest. I had been stuck on it for so long that Ive got a Knight Lance and Full Battle Armor +10KZ. lol for a while there, I figured if I cant get the egg the easy way, I'll take down the Wyvern and everything else in my path. XD Also wanna thank all of you who suggested killing the Velociprey on the map, that helped out alot.

I never knew about the covert hiding mechanics in a Monster Hunter game, why did they take it out of the later games? I would have loved doing missions where you have to sneak into the monster's den for stuff hiding in the brush to avoid detection as all logic would dictate is possible.

you can go from area 4 to 10 then 8 its alot easier because you don't have to dodge anything like those velociprey man i hate egg hunting quests

So... will it still work if you clear area 2 THEN go to fetch the egg, or do the Velociprey respawn by then?

Also, I thought it was X to drop off an item in the delivery box? Or does X make you drop the egg for both versions then? (Just wanna be ultra sure XD)

You can also take the egg and walk through area 5-4-3-10-8-1

Sure it's longer but it's easier and safer

Watch out for los though, sometimes he's in area 3 and 10 but it's a very slim chance

LOL Rath spotted me!! i did what you did but he saw me and pwnt me XD. The second time i just stayed in the bush to see if he would leave, but he flew up a third time, saw me in the sky and landed on me (poison -_-). i was dazed, then he charged me. Then when i got up i tried to run but Rath charged me again, then poison killed me b4 rath tackled me. lolz

Haha, well the Troublesome Pair video was from Monster Hunter for the PlayStation 2.

This is Monster Hunter Freedom, the damage calculations have changed quite a bit.

The Village Elder monsters for MHF are much weaker than the ones in MH for the PS2.

Since these are considered "beginner quests", I thought I'd handle them with no armor, feel free to equip yourself with whatever works best for you. Take it at your own pace, and no offense taken at all man.

I'm at my urgent "Attack of the Rathalos" quest at the moment, I've not too many weapons yet.

I am planning on making some more weapons and switching up weapon classes later on through the walkthrough.

Also, Epitaph Blade looks awesome.

The velociprey in area 2 don't respawn. Kill them on the way in, and it makes getting out with the egg that much easier.
