@invertedhearts21 Really, I'd say she hated Harry because even though she said she 'hated' her sister, I think in reality she was jealous as in the seventh book during the Prince's Tale it says how Petunia wrote to Dumbledore asking if she could come. He politely refused and so Petunia was never fully welcomed into that world and after Lily told her she'd read the letter Petunia got mad and then I think from that point onward refused to associate with the wizarding world in anyway.

In the second book the Dursleys' lock him up. Ron, Fred & George drive there dad's enchanted car to their window and get him out. They go to his house and he took all his stuff, he even slept in the same room as Ron with all his things their. He's going to keep going back with the Weasleys' I'm sure. I'm still reading the series, though. So, he does live with the Weasleys'.

You can read this in the Order of the Phoenix at the end when Dumbledore talks to Harry.

Actually, no, she *was* laughing at Harry's question about whether he would have to wear a Smelting's uniform as well, because neither she nor Vernon would have dreamed for an instant of treating Harry as equal to Dudley, and that included in schooling. Dudley would go to a school where he could meet influential people; Harry would get the minimum amount of schooling necessary at a school where he wouldn't meet anybody of consequence.
