Good job! I knew that auditorium looked familiar! NSULA right? I'm from down the road at Tech. I'm playing Wynton Marsalis' version in my senior recital. It's definitely a fun lighthearted piece!
This song got me started! I play euphonium but my band teacher was a trumpet player. Played this my sophomore year of high school. Didn't even know about songs written for my instrument until Falcone competition! Good chops dude! I like the smirk to your friends toward the end!
"junior recital." as in.... high shcool? or college? haha because i'm a junior in high school attempting this- and it's pretty beastly. And you're beastly!! haha.
@AlliGirl6520 Junior recital in college. It's way fun! I picked it for that reason. The only tips I have are to just have fun with it and listen to recordings. The main recording I listened to was Wynton Marsalis. He does some extended cadenzas but he plays everything else as it was written. Always hear it in your mind as you play it. The intro is definitely the hardest part on the fingers but slow-to-fast practice works wonders. Good luck!
I like this vid. This guy plays with much less mistakes (yeah his second valve sticks, but he has chops). Much better than the others. At 2:15, that's when it starts getting interesting...
Well done!

GLkamina121 10 months ago
@GLkamina121 It's all double tongued except for the tongue 1-slur 3 combos. Took awhile to really get down. The metronome is your friend :)
