His spanish is actually not bad. Of course he would need to add to his vocabulary to carry on an extended conversation, but his pronunciation is good and he does a fine job stringing together proper sentences. Maybe he could get Landon to teach him a little more espanol?
Why do native English speakers never learn to speak another language correctly? It's pretty sad that he isn't able to speak one sentence without a mistake.

The Chinese language actually has no tenses in it. That for me would just be too weird. Loosely related but still, there's enough to learn of the English language for an Englishman let alone becoming fluent in Spanish, which has so many variations in the language itself before you even take local dialects into consideration. We just try to speak louder with more politeness.

its true not many english people can speak another language but its much more difficult for us to learn. All experts agree that its best to be around and familiar to the language as much as possible , but in england you never here any spanish , italian , french , german ect for the simple reason that they dont really produce anything in the way of music , film , tv. lol i expected him to know more spanish though, after 4 years because when u take it into consideration it's not really good. Look at Nistelrooy and Robben who came in in 06 and 07 respectively and when they were interviewed at the end of the season they spoke almost perfectly. Robben can already keep a conversation up in spanish like if he's been living in madrid 20 years.

I'm from Madrid and from Real Madrid. Beckham was a mediocre player but a very respected professional. He worked hard in every game and he was always a perfect British gentleman, sweet and polite. lol i expected him to know more spanish though, after 4 years because when u take it into consideration it's not really good. Look at Nistelrooy and Robben who came in in 06 and 07 respectively and when they were interviewed at the end of the season they spoke almost perfectly. Robben can already keep a conversation up in spanish like if he's been living in madrid 20 years.

I'm from Madrid and from Real Madrid. Beckham was a mediocre player but a very respected professional. He worked hard in every game and he was always a perfect British gentleman, sweet and polite. I prefered him to leave anyway but he was a very nice guy. Much like McManaman. Disappointing on the pitch but nice guys.

Im sorry but somone with the amount of money he has......to be in Madrid for over 3 years...... that is a HORRIBLE level of Spanish he has. Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben have been here not even 2 years and they do regular interviews in Spanish at a good level.
