Just a heads up, this technique also works to make rusted/burnt corrugated metal if you use black as the bottom coat and drybrush thin layers of Mithril Silver/Red Gore.

SERIOUSLY !?!?!? Don't buy this f#%¤"ing crap tutorial. Cardboard and straws ??? This frkn kindergarten stuff, why don't you just superglue some macaronis to it and call it in owl ?. Save your money, do your homework, read GOOD tutorials and make excellent pieces instead of a 100 crappy pieces. Also for the rust, dirt and that kind of " nature takes it toll" on different buildings, read up on weathering effects and make your efforts count. Don't listen to this crap for gods sake.

Search on Ultrawerke Rust effects on google and see the results asswipe.
you can rip off both layers of cardboard so it doesn't look weird from the other side, just hot glue down the insides of the corrugated parts on both sides.
for rust on my chaos warriors (nurgle) wich is on there armor i first used rotting flesh.. then drybrushed a dwarven bronze.. then at the end i dd a reeally light drybrush of chaos black to give the dwarven bronze a darker less glimmering effect
To be honest, though, I achieve a much better looking rust effect by first doing a basecoat of boltgun, then a chestnut ink wash, then a drybrush in boltgun, then finally a light drybrush in chainmail
I use some bits of sprue, glue one going up and down on the back, and then put another one horizontally only slightly at an angle at the bottom. Kinda like this... /_
The paints are most likely Delta Ceramcoat or Apple Barrel. They are widely available in craft stores like Michaels and cost less than half of GW paints. However, the pigment (what makes the color) is not as finely ground so they usually have poorer coverage and are not as consistent overall. That said, they are excellent for terrain projects and figure bases. Really worth checking out.

Hey i got a question for you guys, i kind of got to much paint on my chaos space marines, how can i remove paint ? Someone told me to use alcohol to wipe down the paint but i´m not to sure about that, thx for the answer =)
Tip: One thing i noticed is that if u put tinfoil down then use the side of a pen or pencil and gently smooth out the ridges you can see the ridges that way it looks like it started as metal and u add in the brown and red with no silver. CarbonGamingLtd.

I wasn't impressed. I think it looks more like red paint, brown paint and silver paint.
I prefer the techniques shown in the "How to Paint" book and the Ogre Kingdoms army book.
Rust techniques found there are slightly more complicated. However, they provide a considerably more realistic result.
