A) The type of "music fan" Reading and Leeds has attracted in recent years
and
B) The type of "fans" KOL attract
More to this band than Sex On Fire, they have a whole wealth of great songs that the mainstream types who also probably think Lady Gaga is a musical icon have likely never heard.

@foxheadspeed It wasn't like that in Leeds. Use Somebody, Sex On Fire, Notion etc getting loud cheers whilst this song hardly got anything. And you could hear a pin drop in the crowd for Slow Night, So Long, one of their greatest songs.
I saw them at Leeds in 2005 when they only had two albums out and the songs were much better appreciated by the crowd.

Mainstream appeal and reach means that more appreciate their music but on a much less detailed scale cause of the larger audience sizes. Sure I wish people would love Trani and California Waiting as much as I do, but my bigger wish is for KOL to continue to be huge and successful cause they've earned it, and along with that comes a lot of stupid people liking only 3 of your songs.
what a sick band. they are the biggest rock band of this generation in my opinion.
