I have an 8GB card, however a 2GB would have worked fine for this. For time lapse I shoot in the "small" format on the XTi - this still great quality and high enough resolution for HDTV...
I was on my way to buy a XTi today and i was looking @ the 2 lense kit 18-55/?-300mm for 920$CND is this a good deal or should i go look on ebay ?? and as for the memory card ? Sandisk Extreme III ?
Again i just watrched that vid....A+. Still laughing i want to make one for Ottawa to Montreal
The 18-55mm lens that comes with the XTi is a piece of junk honestly. You are much better to find a combo with the 17-85mm IS Lens, or just buy them each separate. It will cost more, but it is REALLY worth it. The 17-85 has much better optics, wider angle, better zoom and best of all image stabilization. It really works, I've hand held shots for 1/4" exposures and they look great!
I have another driving timelapse on my personal website - look at my profile for the link. I have an album called "Experiments in Time Lapse" - the Phoenix to Canyonlands vid is over 420 miles....
that was funny when you were going down pima road
