Yeah, this was on a Friday night, my lil daughter was so scared...And all you heard on da TV waz Andy Wallace warning us about this, I stayed off of Hi-Way 6 across from Providence....
Remember there was a freak tornado only a week before this that hit Orchard Lane out past Bellmead. Seriously, what gives? This storm was way better, though!
so do i. i remember this day also. it was such a horrible night. i remember looking outside and all this wind was blowing outside. the trees were blowing like hell! it was fucking insane! i was like OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK?!
I was working at Lansharx that night(32nd and Franklin lansharx dot com) and I remember seeing the aqua colored sky when it would lightning. I read later that that color comes from the light being refracted by hailstones. The winds were around 80-90 MPH straight at our front door. It was a trip! but i wasn't skeered though. (I guess I am too stupid!)
I remember it as well, I like seeing tornadoes personally but on this occasion I didn't due to the fact that I was woken up around 12:10 AM right when the worst was going on. I live in Robinson though, about a few streets down from where the roof was thrown down into the street in the Chapman Edition.
Oh yea I remember that night, and I remember the local news channels discussing the "aftermath" which I have recorded somewhere on VHS. One of these days one of us is gonna film actual footage of a tornado in Waco lol (Resident of Chalk Bluff SuperJohn)
Yeah when it was passing, I was in my apt too scared to shoot through the window. And it was great once I got to work and realized we didn't have any power and J-rigged our livetruck generators to make a low power newscasts. But I'm with you one of these days we will get one on cam.
