There are MANY criminals out there who are individual opportunists -robbers, violent lunatics, rapists, murderers, who are a much greater daily threat than "terrorists". The only thing I don't agree with Ron Paul about is that the Patriot Act somehow sacrifices our liberties. How? I haven't lost any liberty whatsoever since the Patriot Act was passed. Now that's not to say that I agree with the act, but I don't think it has taken away any of our liberties.
@VitalSigns1 You would have to search for the old articles but PATRIOT was used to close down a retail store over unlicensed imported toys under this "terrorism" law. PATRIOT was also used to prevent the opening of a strip club in Vegas a few years ago and those are just two I remember right now. These things are done without court procedings.

PATRIOT was also used to prevent the opening of a strip club in Vegas a few years ago and those are just two I remember right now. These things are done without court procedings.

Which means while they claim that they have to have probable cause, they have no reason to prove it. Those who are accused have no recourse to prove that they are innocent, or that they were taken without probable cause, because they have no rights. The don't need a reason, because there is no avenue through which it must be proven that there was reason.

It basically gives govt the power to put all Americans in jail indefinitely w/no charges or trial. It gives the govt the ability to openly detain American citizens for their entire lives without a single charge. It also gave them the right to declare the whole country as the battle field. He pretty much got my vote from that alone, FINALLY we have someone who realizes the truth about Marijuana. I did also enjoy his other points, but I am worried about him not getting elected. My Co worker saw me looking at the video and said that he raised a good point on the war on drugs, but since he is wants to cancel the war on drugs, he claimed that alone will turn alot of people off of him and that he wont get elected, but that isnt true...is it?

All other candidates carefully listen to Ron Paul, as they did in other debates.
None of them improved even after listening to a smart guy. Attorney general failed to understand 9/11 insider jobs. The moderator too looks pretty biased like the main stream media.
