  • The game plays nothing like the Demo, as should be expected. I think they STOLE the tackling from Backbreaker because I don't see scripts, it looks almost physics based sometimes. They need to back off the pass defense though, OMG, its unrealistic.

  • @1:50 it looks kinda fishy

  • I don't see a vast improvement in zone defense, either with me using it or passing against it. 200 yards on Heisman, picking it apart. Dunno. But I usually lead leagues I am in with passing so maybe I am a statistical outlier.

  • I think that with tweaking, its a definite improvement over last year. And I hope they fix Defensive Assist, doesn't work in the demo.

  • this IS the final version, the game drops in a week or so

  • real time physics sounds great on paper but how backbreaker executed it was not fun, it was great to see the tackles in backbreaker but everyone knows that shit wasn't fun. NCAA 13 and/or Madden 13 could be the realist football games to hit gods green earth but it that shits not fun its not gonna sell just like backbreaker

  • @904Caller I completely Agree!!!

  • You lost 6 years of your life if youve been waiting on a company to make changes. The game has the same look and feel. @Ramboss The cpu QB is dumb, the first three plays that I saw when I played the game was that the QB threw the ball out of bounds as soon as he snapped the ball. Same game retuned, keep that EA. Real time physics is the thing to do,thats all i want in sports games from now on. Thank you Euphoria.

  • Good vid Smitty....

  • Congratulations EA on making 12 better than 11. Don't worry, we don't mind that you still haven't met any of the standards set by those older games in the past. Thanks for getting rid of some of the suctions and pre-fixing the sliders. I'm proud of you guys because it looks good...and it's real nice looking.. and you did a good job improving it and making it look good. Here's $65 and 65 more reasons not to fix the whole game

  • @2KxFootball wtf? 65 reasons not to fix the whole game? this game is still flawed, the running animations are still pathetic, they can still turn on a dime without losing any speed, and SOMETIMES the OLinemen will not fucking know whats going on, sorry but this shit aint worth 65 dollars

  • @roygib09 bro, you completely missed my sarcasm

  • This game is much better than NCAA 11, I definately agree with your points about that. But the issues you start to talk about at 6:15 or so still plague the game far too much for me to call the game great. At 7:00 or so, I agree 100%. They MUST adress the locomotion system in order for the game to be up to par. With the absence of any foot planting or momentum, there is no agility represented in the players and you can't utilize quicker players well at all. Its still way too based on speed.

  • Great video, Smitty! I like the feel of NCAA 12 this year. We aren't telling people to buy this game. We are only saying what we feel is good or bad.

  • if this is a 3 yr plan ill wait 2 see wat happens b-4 i even come close 2 givin them my 65 bones...

im talkin far improved 2 like nhl and fifa series.. if they got the in house tec USE IT im not copin diz HELL NAW

  • Great video Smitty. EA does NOT get a free pass for making improvements and we still will be critical of them...albeit constructive. People can get mad if they want but they fail to realize that we are in to get the best Football game no matter who produces it. Right now EA are the only ones producing FULL title Football games..until somebody steps up to the plate and mans up;thats what we have to deal with and help improve.

  • @CommishAzure well said commish.

  • @CommishAzure Real talk, bruh!

  • The blocking assignments are sooo much better too. i love it.

  • Great vid smitty!!!! I totally agree!

  • I hate how the linemen still let defense players run right pass them....other than that, it plays better

  • @2KGrind09 bro, i thought it was just me, i didn't wanna say any thing about it to be sounding negative. on heisman, the def-lineman was jostling for a second and running by them tackles often. i saw plays where the back staying to block watched as the guy ran past then he decides to move or the center doing the same thing.

  • @jondough7777777 exactly.....I'll be putting up my vids today on my thoughts

  • don't waiste your money ppl($60)...this is ncaa 11 tweaked. you can tweak your sliders and get close to the same thing. this game is a rip-off. don't get beat out of your money again. if you have 11, play with sliders. don't be fooled, this is what you will get retail. they will do little to nothing for 2 weeks.this is a wrap...its your money, you decide.

  • @MrMacmanoncall please show what sliders will remove suction animations ? plus this is a april build then its a demo of the April build, if you really think this is retail your fooling yourself. No way sliders will get you this gameplay. The blocking is alot better also.

  • i dont really like the game. the blocking is wayyy to good.the tackles are soft, the cpu QB is dumb. the game has no weight to it. everything is floaty, people are just hyped about it,which leads to bias comments.but play it a lot and you will find its not that good.and damn the same tackles happen everytime and and they always throw the runner forward wtf. the suction is very low which is great but takles are stale. dont get me wrong there are improvments but people need to open their eyes.

  • everyone raving right now, just wait til replays become available. yes the game has improved but i still saw some things in it when i played it.

  • @jondough7777777 Yup Yup Mmmhmmm do tell do tell lol Ive seen warp to ball....

  • Backbreaker vengance is stopping me from playing this

  • I still feel like the hit stick is absence when you tackle it doesnt feel like a BIG HIT TACKLE ...The game run so smooth to where it just dont have a ruff football contact feel to it Like you dont even hear the player pads hitting or even hear them make grunting noises But overall its a great game

  • @funarcade9999 I swear told that to multiple people lol great point!!!

  • football footbal football.....the whole nba season was spent talking about madden...wtf about nba 2k11 nba 2k11 nba 2k11....please...stop perpuating the conversation...i give up....

  • 5:20 i would like to see #13 atleast reach a arm out and slow the HB slightly and i mean slightly or make the HB shrug him off if he has more momentum than the defensive player. Instead of the def player being stuck in a animation and not even attempting to get the HB... but it does look improved. 7 is a good rating for this, definitely can use more improvements.

  • Madden didn't fix the running. ou still slide around, but the tackles are improved. I'd be surprised if Madden was good though.

  • @royal44100 shiiiid madden 12 is way better than ncaa 12

  • yo this is 2008 remasterd im with APEX they all ready had this stuff and this is still football in compartments

  • smitty your great! 7.5 is a probly right on given the circustances now i know why i respect your knowledge so much. you call it like you see it and this is actually a good game

  • Madden, clearly, is going to be the better game this year, and that's honestly not a shot at NCAA at this point. Madden will have all of the improvements of NCAA, as well as DPP, pump faking to individual receivers, different running styles, or stride length, and different carrying styles. I can tell just by looking at the vids from E3, and playing this. Madden is going to be the better game like it usually is. Both games seem like they're going to be solid this year. It's about time !

  • @Dmacho78

Played it, Its basicly the same, cleaner animations, sharper contact points, still minimal animations, and poor passing physics, blocking feels cleaner, but you still get "hung-up" on O-lineman, and pulling guards rarely hit anyone.

  • @Joeyland It's not the same. The zone coverage is a lot better; the pressure from the dline is a lot better. Hit detection and run-blocking are better, and I see pulling guards make blocks all the time. The passing game is improved too. The ball speed is a little more realistic now; however, the trajectory still needs a lot of work. The football is either thrown on a rope, or it's lob. You can't put any touch on the ball. I hope that's not true in Madden.

  • @Dmacho78

Only played Madden at E3, Played the college demo, but I dont entirley disagree, the game looks smoother, and feels better, but im used to online, so it can b misleading. The blocking felt limited, I didnt see lines pushing anyone back, and the pulling guards in Madden just ran by defenders, sometimes they would make contact but not block, it still felt like Madden. All the exploits I tried from previous generations seemed to work fine. So I hope your right, but I have my doubts

  • Its a great game, the removal of suction has made a HUGE improvement. And to be honest Madden looks better so if this plays good and Madden looks better then we may be in for a treat.

  • Also, every time I use the right stick ( the pass rushing moves) when rushing the passer, the dlineman that I'm controlling get thrown on his ass like a bitch !

I play on Heisman; does anyone else have this problem when playing on Heisman, or at all ?

  • I like the game, it's definitely an improvement over 11. The zone coverage, the consecutive hit tackling, and the lack of suction makes a big difference. One thing I don't like is that the LBs and Dlineman still can make unreal interceptions. I think the problem is more the trajectory of the passes than the hops of the LB and Dlineman. It's seem like it's either a bullet, or a lob. You can't put touch on the ball like you can in 2k.

  • Great vid smitty I actually enjoyed da demo n tho there r still flaws I am lookin 4ward to gettin my hands on my copy this game is definantly lookin good n to da hater keep hatin dats just wat yall do

  • As far as I'm concerned since EA took away a great great game in 2k8. There game should be twice as good and it still isn't as good yet. The Demo may say it is on Heisman but @3:48 the AI should have seen the receiver on the far right get wide open. also the dropping back 15yrds shows lack of football logic and Heisman D should make you pay. B/c the AI doesn't drop back like that they get sacked allot. EA still thinks that's football. But they will not fix it cause every1 seems happy.

  • The running animations and the ice skating are a BIG problem. The game doesnt feel right to me I tried it and didnt see anything to make me spend $65. Hate to say it but Im going to sit this one out again this year...

  • the game most be trash if your still dropping back 15+ yards

  • good stuff I am glad that they are finally moving in the right direction instead of just going from side to side never really breaking through the absence of instant replay makes it hard to really show it off for better or worse I do like the read option being a viable play now because you can actually run it off the DE move to keep or hand off so I was happy about that which is part of the suction minimization I couldnt get the option going well kept fumbling but going to play it again and see

  • I think is okay. The running sucks. The tackling is pretty nice. There are still players jumping routes like the LBs. Sometimes it looks like a bunch of robots after a pick is made, the defense and the offense are moving just alike. Overall we can't expect perfection. But if EA can fix suction and morphing, then they can do a lot with these football games.

  • smitty, I don't think EA Sports really care about making their games simulation and yes, even NHL and FIFA....animation wise they might have the edge but as far as being a sim, I don't think so.....I also think this is as best as madden/ncaa teams can do and we'll just have to wait until next gen comes around.

  • Good vid

  • If they can just improve the footplanting & make the players feel like the have a little more weight to them then EA will have a great game. We more than likely wont see real time physics until the next generation of consoles. They've already hinted at that.

  • The removal of suction is a HUGE I mean HUGE difference! These vids don't give the game justice. I can honestly say the games plays way better than I expected. I'm so used to suction in EA games that I had to readjust how I play lol. It affects everything from running to blocking to tackling even to catching. I'm noticing a lot more emphasis on momentum too. I'm so used to being sucked into to tackles & I got burned on a couple plays expecting to just get close to a guy & be sucked in lol

  • good video i'll see how it plays when i get the game

  • running animations has to go!!!

  • Yeah I haven't played it yet but I'm about to try it out though

  • You been able to PVP yet with the demo Smitty? Me and mine are hooking up on Sunday to see how that goes.

Agreed, it's better and looking better than what we've been offered on "next gen" so far. Man, we're all gonna have to re-learn tackling again LoL. No more running in the vicinity/suction tackle.
