I think theirs an updated Blentec (black color )home version on the market now that blends better because it has a 96oz container which seems to do very well but I think it costs about $90.00 I don't know if the 96ozer would work with your machine?

the new 4 inch blade pitcher doesn't have that problem. matt monarch did a comparison of the vitamix and the 4inch blendtec, the blendtec won.

Blendtec is a little more compact than Vitamix. so if space is an issue, you have options. Both are good.

Blendtec says that their blenders don't need a tamper to push the indgrediants down into the blades, but obviously the blender needs a tamper

Hey buddy, how many cycles do you have on the machine, and have you had any problems with the bearing in the jar. The older jars (could be the one you have) had a defective seal which let the liquids leak into the bearing. The bearings eventually seized up and needed to be replaced. The whole jar needed to be replaced. $70.

ive found out that no matter what Blender Jar you have, ALWAYS turn it upside down after rinsing it, and that will help the seals last alot longer

Geez, Sleepy and Bronchitis, give me a break. As the info for this video says, this was the first time the blender was used. Too much was put in, yes, but if you listen, you hear me moan that what the recipe calls for isn't fitting. And as for manually adjusting the ice, watch it with annotations showing and you see that I say not to do that.

I'm sorry that my first use of the machine doesn't meet your high standards of excellence.

(I do wish the Blendtec blender came with a pushing wand.)

This Blendtec is well worth the money if you use it daily and incorporate green smoothies as well. This video is weird and the guy crams too much stuff in it right away.

hmmmm, Ok, you pay that much for the blender when you have to sit there and manually adjust the ice? .....sounds fishy. I dont like that. Ive heard the vitamix has a wand that alleviates that problem.

I also concur with the last comment that this is the best blender made. It's not a bargain at the $375 I paid at Costco three weeks ago but it is an incredible machine and anyone thinking about buying it will not be disappointed. Good video.

dont worry about that lid. Once its on..just press it and let it go. It wont pop off. The smoothie button runs at a lower rpm for only 20 seconds. If you want it to be a smoother...or thinner consistancy, you can press the "whole juice" button and that will work as well. ....give it time...it'll go. Looks great
