Hi, I would say that you sound like Bullets for my valentines and a mix with rasmus in the voince. Good music, but a little bit linear and noisy to me.
I say you have a bit of Nickelback sounding vocals mixed with like a Papa Roach/ System Of a Down style behind it. I thought of Buck Cherry and Saving Able while I listened too. No one has to agree but that is what I thought of while listening.
I have a really hard time finding anything that sounds like tripfuse, but that is a good thing!:) I know one thing though, you are on my new, rockin playlist! I have seen that many others say that you sound like SOAD, they are one of my favorite bands, so I guess that they should be on the list, considering the fact that their fans like your music also:)
ummmmm, my 11 year old says 'dream theatre'... i'd say maybe 'wide mouth mason'.... and maybe musically, something like "animals as leaders' ... or system of a down'... we're both sitting here listening to your music... you guys are seriously good... coming from me, that's major kudos, cause if you suck i have no problem saying so...
In my humble opinion I believe your sound is very unique. It's the best music I've heard in a long time. If I had to compare your style to anyone, I believe the songs sound a little like Queensryche (one of my favs btw) and Soundgarden. Honestly though, your voice stands on its own :-)
no offense Teague I'm Not a music critic, but here's my two cents. Calling out reminds me of Queensryche and early Soundgarden. The first 14 seconds of Rise up was very U2ish. And the other two songs kinda run of the mill generic metal! SOund quality was fantastic, good luck with your musical endeavors aand a BIG THANKS for your lessons here on Youtube. MAn it's freakin cold here in Ontario!!! PEACE!
First impression after listening to your 4 songs Great recording and mix very clean Nice guitar riffs well played Tight group generic songs Drumming good but unimaginative a bit disco in some places Groups you remind me of ZZ top on steroids (guitar riffs) Journey style of songs (You are darker. Heavier) I would suggest you get experimental with the current material you have Trying new approaches
Your guys' sound is all over the place.. I will try to pinpoint the sound; the vocals on Letting Go remind me of Anberlin (but the instruments are much heavier), the keys on Calling out remind me of Opeth, Vocals on rise up sliightly remind me of the band Strung Out, and I've got nothing for Feel
please...none of you stupid imbeciles out there make fun of me...but ya'll kind of sound like linkin park and black sabbath to mee...thats just to me...i cant get a third one though
aww man you have a kicking sound, i think the vocals stand on there own, cant really say they sound like anyone but the music man defo a touch of pantera with a bit of system of a down thrown in, got it blastin on the earphones as i type ;-) aww man the more i am listening to it the vocal dose sound like someone but as yet it aint came to me.......hope it works out guys keep rockin it out....peace....
#1 - I haven't got a clue what 'Letting Go' sounds like. Maybe a blend of Soilwork (intro, Black Star Deceiver), Kiss (short melody fragment of 'I was made for loving you') and... slow it down.
As for #2, hm, imagine Chris Cornell (You know my name) with a somewhat higher pitched voice and less volume, mix in sounds reminiscent of Sinner (Black), slow it down, I think that's pretty close to 'Calling Out'.
#3 - ACDC riff, Papa Roach feel, too soft a voice for that though.
but as with all other songs, the guitars are way too rough for the vocals, or the vocals are too soft for the guitars, whichever you prefer. Now of course I'm probably not in the position to give advice, but I think the gap between these two elements is a tad bit too wide.
@Samuraionthewall I agree with you Samurai....luv the vibe of the music, but Teagues vocals are too mellow for the strength of the tunes. You need a lead singer with a deeper sound.
rise against, some of your drum beats have that punk rock sound with the driving guitar parts. vocals remind me of circa survive.... umm one song sounded very metallica esque.

Letting go:
Guitar reminds me of disturbed, and voice reminds me of millow.. =)
Rise up: nightwish guitar, and voice is between iron maiden and nightwish, if that's possible.. xD
rise up: punk rockish, and I don't listen to punk rock.. =/
feel: guitar: disturbed, voice: tripfuse.. xD
hope it helps.. =)

my attitude towards this songs:
Letting go: remix it, give your voice more strengh, scream, be a rocker
and publish your acoustic version.
WoWeFFect 1 year ago
I'd say Samael (letting go) : just for the sound of the guitar and the mood of the song.
Lacuna Coil (calling out) : mostly the intro, but also the general structure of the song.
Papa roach (rise up)

rise against/papa roach/ the drumming reminds me of like bfmv
the solo in rise up sounds like something a7x/bfmv would play
