  • steve evans: best motorsport commentator ever

  • Believe it or not, I got driving lessons from Davy today at a Jaguar driving experience event. Great guy.

  • this is off and they walked away if im right

  • @13LinkinPark666

No I have the orginal race.

  • He never hit that hard, just spun alot. Spectacular none the less!

  • Airborne gyrations :)

  • The fact that the Corvette only tagged the BMW that was torn to shreds is amazing desperate driving on the part of the Corvette Driver. A full on, full speed collision would of been a terrying sight. In either case, the fact that the driver just walks out of the car illustrates the robust style of the GTP vehicles.

  • Chip Robinson, Hurley Haywood in the 2 white / green Group 44 Jaguars.

Funny what you remember. I recall this like yesterday.

    DRJ

  • If I'm not mistaken, that was David Hobbs in the BMW #19 in 2nd behind Geoff Brabam in the Nissan GTP. That made it clear in fron of this.

  • And god bless Steve Evans, RIP.

  • Notice John Morton in the Porsche 962, 6 cyl turbo sneaking thru.

  • Not to 2nd guess Davy Jones, but that is definitely NOT the place to make a move, especially early in a 500 mi race.

    David, not good.

You scared a lot of people.

  • yeah, turn 1, turn 5, turn 8, possibly off the kink, Canada corner.......those are about the only places to make a move....and turn 1 is awful narrow for making a move when everyone is bunched up at the start of a race

  • How early in the race was this?

  • @djarosch

Horseshit, this is a perfect place to pass as its the second longest straight on the track into Canada corner. It seems you haven't a clue about this track and are just talking out of your ass...

  • I was at this race. Notice the BMW teammate and the GTP Nissan led the way and made it thru. I miss IMSA. Scott Pruitt, Hurley Haywood in the Group 44 Jag, great days. Lucky no one got hurt here tho.

  • RIP Steve Evans. What a great commentator he was for the TNN IMSA races.

  • Yeah, Definately miss the days of Steve Evans and Brock Yates announcing the races back in the 80's, and early 90's.

  • What a great commentator, period!

  • WOW That Big Accident it's Bit like Formula 1 Kubica Crash Last Year Canada Grand Prix.

  • Awesome stuff! A-1

  • Try a big liquor store, I found some in Indy

  • Yea, you can still find it in select places

  • Steve Evans FOR THE WIN!

  • 100 times better than nowadays am lemans or grand am series.

  • Ya, I remeber the TNN American Sport Cavalcade! The good old day; IMSA and TNN.

  • The GTP-ZX is leading in so many of these clips, man that thing was a beast.

  • Great coverage, even though it was canned. Brock Yates and the late, great Steve Evans. What a weird mix, the Nashville Network and IMSA racing!

  • I loved watching that show when I was little, they had swamp buggies, NHRA Drag Racing, and other motorsports coverage, that was the best racing show on TNN.

  • Swamp buggy racing was the best on there. All these dam channels on cable and you still can't find cool things like that. Besides maybe that Lucas oils show on Speed. That got some different stuff on there ounce in awhile

  • Remember when you have to wait 3 months to watch great racing on TNN AMERICAN SPORTS CAVALCADE
