the ocean most def. if you love to text helio ocean has got it for you. you get two ways like t9 texting and the full keyboard. but the lg voyager is only one way, and the touch screen could mess things up good. plus verizon doesnt have any unlimited texts options, so if yoy over text, its $0.20 for every IM, text, email (maybe more) you get. and also verizon has MILLIONS of hidden fees.

I have an ocean and honestly I think you're dead wrong. The voyager touch screen is full of glitches. The Ocean's keyboard is very roomy, I've had no problems with it. And helio uses sprint's statlites, so it has the fastest, most reliable service out there. And the Ocean has 4 speakers, they are just as loud as the voyager's. It all comes down to... do you want to fiddle with a touch screen? or just use an awesome dual slider.

And build quality has nothing to do with if a battery can be replaced easily. It has to do with materials used and how well they are put together. The iphone is very well put together, solid, made of glass, aluminum, steel and a little plastic. nothing squeaks or is loose. I believe the voyager is plastic and more plastic. And no Apple gives you a loner iphone until you get yours back from replacement.
BTR1389 your missing my point completely Apple is the ONLY phone maker that has the battery issue even the cheaper phones make it so you can replace the battery yourself. If the iphones battery could be replaced easily then why does Apple make you send it in? thats very poor build quality and a joke for a phone costing as much as the iphone does. Well it depends on your area. Theyre both nice phones. Helio may have fast internet access but phone call quality should be equal. Check Sprints coverage in your area, Helio runs on Sprint network. But roams for free on Verizon.

The reception depends on where you're at. Nationally I have had the best service with Helio. They use the Sprint network. The Ocean can send emails (hotmail, yahoo, gmail), text, AIM, GPS mobile, surf the web, picture/video messaging. Exactly what "extent" do you speak of? The Voyager is straight though, the touch screen is dope as hell.

The Voyager is basically just an EnV with a touchsceen and it looks very similar to the EnV. The Ocean is something different for a change. It has a unique design like no other phone. Except for the touchscreen, the Ocean has everything you mentioned and more. The Voyager is WAY too overrated.

I had the Voyager and took it back because a friend of mine had the Ocean and it did everything the Voyager did and more. The Voyager looks really sexy but doesn't go past there for me. You can get turn by turn directions on your Ocean if you download the app. for $7.99...Anyway +1 for the Ocean
tech wise, ocean blows the voyager out of the water. Ocean has youtube, google earth, tv, and an amazing web browser-and this is real internet, some water downed version. ocean has a 3G network too witch is the fastest network speed available. In comparison with the iPhone, the ocean is still much much better.
The voyager is cool because it looks fancy and sleek which the ocean lacks. the touch screen on the voyager in neat too.

Yes LG says apple copied them. And yes they do have a similar design. But I don't think apple "rushed" the iPhone just so they could say they were first to it. The Prada first debuted in like September 2006. The iPhone came out June '07. And I really don't have a huge problem with the non-user replacable battery. The battery will most likely outlast your contract anyway. And the only thing I care about the Voyager has that the iPhone doesn't is 3G.

One more thing Apple went to Verizon before they went to At&t because of there Far superior network and verizon turned Apple and the iphone down because Verizon and LG had a much better phone in mind and that phone is the Voyager. You see they wanted a better phone a phone that was more upgradable and not lacking all of the features that the iphone does.They wanted a phone that had faster wireless internet speeds and they where able to do this without the use of wifi.
I don't even have an iPhone yet. But I plan on getting one as soon as a 3G version comes out. I'm not saying the Voyager is a terrible phone. It's the best Verizon's got. But I like at&t because it generally gets better service where I live. Right now I have the Samsung SYNC(A707) and it's a 3G phone and I almost always have 3G coverage. At my school, all my friends have Verizon and they average 2-3 bars at best, while I average 4-5 bars with 3G coverage!
And do you know how expensive a plan with the voyager would be? The basic plan with the iPhone is $60/month and has 450 anytime minutes w/ rollover, 5000 nigh/weekend mins, unlimited data, and 200 sms text messages. Just about everything you are mentioning that the Voyager can do compared to the iPhone is an extra $10-$15 per month. I'm only 16 and I pay my own cellphone bills. I can't afford an $80+ a month cellphone bill!
Plus the iPhone is really convenient for me because right now, I am carrying a 5.5G 30GB iPod video and a cellphone and with an iPhone, I can have both of those in one device. I already have all my media in iTunes and itunes files don't work with any non-apple devices. The iPhone is just what suites me best, and that's all that matters... what's best for ME, not what some guy on youtube thinks.

i cant find anything on an actual lawsuit by LG. They said that they might but i cant find any evidence that they did. I think they decided that the phones were nothing alike other than they were both solely touch screen phones and the form factors were both candybar style. And build quality has nothing to do with if a battery can be replaced easily. It has to do with materials used and how well they are put together. The iphone is very well put together, solid, made of glass, aluminum, steel and a little plastic. nothing squeaks or is loose. I believe the voyager is plastic and more plastic. And no Apple gives you a loner iphone until you get yours back from replacement.

Well it depends on your area. Theyre both nice phones. Helio may have fast internet access but phone call quality should be equal. Check Sprints coverage in your area, Helio runs on Sprint network. But roams for free on Verizon.

helio ocean is horrible i know people with it and they get the worst service and they all have different networks, horrible reception the phone has, a horrible camera and voyager is amazing, voted best phone of the year and great for calls and emails while the helio ocean cant do anything to the extent do not get helio ocean no matter what people say as you will try calling osmone and it will be all horrible and you will return it. Save time and get voyager. Everyone will think your so cool!!!

The reception depends on where you're at. Nationally I have had the best service with Helio. They use the Sprint network. The Ocean can send emails (hotmail, yahoo, gmail), text, AIM, GPS mobile, surf the web, picture/video messaging. Exactly what "extent" do you speak of? The Voyager is straight though, the touch screen is dope as hell.

The Voyager is basically just an EnV with a touchsceen and it looks very similar to the EnV. The Ocean is something different for a change. It has a unique design like no other phone. Except for the touchscreen, the Ocean has everything you mentioned and more. The Voyager is WAY too overrated.

I had the Voyager and took it back because a friend of mine had the Ocean and it did everything the Voyager did and more. The Voyager looks really sexy but doesn't go past there for me. You can get turn by turn directions on your Ocean if you download the app. for $7.99...Anyway +1 for the Ocean

tech wise, ocean blows the voyager out of the water. Ocean has youtube, google earth, tv, and an amazing web browser-and this is real internet, some water downed version. ocean has a 3G network too witch is the fastest network speed available. In comparison with the iPhone, the ocean is still much much better.
The voyager is cool because it looks fancy and sleek which the ocean lacks. the touch screen on the voyager in neat too.

I have the ocean and my friend has the voyager i compared mine to his, ocean is alot better it has every the voyagfer has and more. The voyager dosent have youtubemoble or google maps or helios great web browser. Its just a regular verison with a fancy touch scaen and everything is extra. HELIO IS BETTER!!!!!

The iPhone didn't copy the Prada. There have been other fully touchscreen devices besides the Prada. The Prada is an over-priced piece of crap. Yes LG says apple copied them. And yes they do have a similar design. But I don't think apple "rushed" the iPhone just so they could say they were first to it. The Prada first debuted in like September 2006. The iPhone came out June '07. And I really don't have a huge problem with the non-user replacable battery. The battery will most likely outlast your contract anyway. And the only thing I care about the Voyager has that the iPhone doesn't is 3G.

Pyro, you need to get your facts straight. read the press release of the Prada. It was announced 3 weeks before the iphone. Even if it had come out 1 year before, apple didn't copy it. It too 2 and a half years to make the iPhone. I think neither copied each other. They just had the same concept. I don't even have an iPhone yet. But I plan on getting one as soon as a 3G version comes out. I'm not saying the Voyager is a terrible phone. It's the best Verizon's got. But I like at&t because it generally gets better service where I live. Right now I have the Samsung SYNC(A707) and it's a 3G phone and I almost always have 3G coverage. At my school, all my friends have Verizon and they average 2-3 bars at best, while I average 4-5 bars with 3G coverage!

And do you know how expensive a plan with the voyager would be? The basic plan with the iPhone is $60/month and has 450 anytime minutes w/ rollover, 5000 nigh/weekend mins, unlimited data, and 200 sms text messages. Just about everything you are mentioning that the Voyager can do compared to the iPhone is an extra $10-$15 per month. I'm only 16 and I pay my own cellphone bills. I can't afford an $80+ a month cellphone bill!

Plus the iPhone is really convenient for me because right now, I am carrying a 5.5G 30GB iPod video and a cellphone and with an iPhone, I can have both of those in one device. I already have all my media in iTunes and itunes files don't work with any non-apple devices. i cant find anything on an actual lawsuit by LG. They said that they might but i cant find any evidence that they did. I think they decided that the phones were nothing alike other than they were both solely touch screen phones and the form factors were both candybar style. I've had the HELIO 4 about 6 months never had any problems with it & ofcourse posting stuff on YOUTUBE straight from your phone is incredible!! so if you ask me cool features on the voyager....So So Owning a HELIO OCEAN "Priceless"!!!
