i have checked the dvd now and unfortunately the manufacturers of the disc and the print are not given, however, the newspaper was the daily mail and usually the dvds they give away come from carlton media, i may be clutching at straws here but i would try to email both the daily mail and carlton media and ask where the print they gave away (roughly mid august 2007) is available, who knows maybe you'll get sent a copy

You mean the news paper the Daily Mail gave this movie away with a copy of their newspaper ? Is the Daily Mail out of the UK of South Africa ?

Another fantastic scene is he meeting in New york of all the conspirators who want to wreck the mine. The actors are facsimiles of leading gold bugs at the time like Harry Brown , Cornall Harwood and Franz Pick. Franz Pick is the German money manager that gets blown up at Christmas.

well, this movie is released in DVD format and there must be a substantial number of buyers around.

the mass market print of this film on region 2 is regarded as being poor, however i got a dvd of this and the picture/sound quality are excellent, it was given in a newspaper, i will check who released the print i have and get back to anyone interested

I have it on DVD NTSF for North America and it is very poor quality and parts are cut. I understand the PAL European DVD version is excellent and in widescreen. My copy on VHS is very good though. It came from recording it from cable TV

I don't find it funny. I am a 35 year Wall Street fanatic. I find it a very entertaining fantasy with traits of reality. In the early 1970s I was in South African Golds many times and made allot of money in them.  I also love Ray Milland in this role and I love all the other actors in this too. I would LOVE to get this on Blue-Ray HD.
