I saw a quote by Michigan's new coach, Hoke, the other week that made me both mad and sick. He said that Michigan's goal "is to win the Big Ten Championship."
THAT translates as: Don't expect Michigan to win bowl games or -- God forbid -- National Championships; just keep the expectations at the same low level that Bo and all the other overrated coaches have had at Michigan!
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.:-(

@cousins851 If it's any consolation, I think your Spartans will get their first win over us at Beaver Stadium since the Kennedy administration. I hope I'm wrong, though.

@MVillani1985 That would be really nice. I think we have one of the top quarterbacks of the Big Ten so I think Sparty has a advantange there, but goddamn Penn State's defense is always good. I think the only time I haven't seen Penn State's defense play well was the second half of the 2007 game in EL when Hoyer led that huge comeback. This years game will HOPEFULLY not be a blowout in your favor, im at least hoping for a closer game. Good Luck this season!

@cousins851 I've seen many times where Penn State's defense had WTF moments, 1997 at Michigan State comes to mind, we were ranked #4, had a great defense and superb offense, it's close for three quarters, then Penn State collapses in the fourth in a 49-14 loss. But I think, if anything, 2010 might be a blowout in Michigan State's favor. I actually see MSU as an outside shot at the Big Ten. Good luck to you guys as well! I hope PSU isn't as bad as I think they'll be, but we don't have a QB.

all i can say is that im a little worried about our team this year, especially on offense. there was a combination of 357 total yards in the blue white game and that just has me concerned, apparently the defense is gonna be solid as usual.

@psufan001 Sadly, I heard the defense is gutted pretty much. However, I hope that PSU does better than the 4-8 I'm thinking.

This game was almost identical to the 2004 game against Michigan State. The first half was close and we scored 28 third quarter points off of interceptions, but in the fourth quarter, the backups scored a touchdown and allowed an MSU garbage time touchdown. That was pretty much the game story for both games.

@psufan001 Fourth quarter was pretty much a glorified scrimmage for Penn State. That last TD by PSU to make it 42-7 was by Kevin Newsome, his second TD ever.
