Definitely one of the bests. Additionally, car's take off physics is very very good. I understand the modelling in 3d tools and renderring as image sequences but how did you handle the physics of the motion? Did the 3D-Max do it for you? Or you mess with it manually?

Nice effect... The car look pretty good I think what you need to work on is on the explosion and make the car look more real once it get closer (closer means that the effect will look more like an effect, the effect is seen more cleary. And when is far away the effects look more real `cause the mistakes are hidden)

@KillerLineBacker The car is a 3d model that was animated in a 3d application called 3d studio max and then rendered as a png image sequence. After that it was composited in after effects. There are many tutorials about 3d animation here on youtube, so you might want to look into them. There are also many free 3d apps for example blender.
