Your statement about many scientists believing in god is false. There is a direct correlation in between religiosity and intelligence. The more intelligent your are, the less likely you are to believe in god, and the less intelligent you are, the more likely you are to believe in god. You are on the loosing end of the brain game.

" Why would I lie about being a Christian for 25 years, and a Deist for 10 after that? Although I am agnostic, I still read the Bible today. I own the NIV, the Cath. NAB, and the KJV. Many Christians have not read the entire NT, and certainly none of the scholarly analysis. They just quote mine.

That is one of the reasons that I find claims of final authority to be hyperbole and hubris. Camping will come back again in a few years, with a new 'formula' and all the morons will believe him again. One day we will look back on this and all other religion and think of it as just another story, like we do with Greek and Egyptian Gods. People should just live their life and accept that there is no proof for religion and yours like the millions of other religions is just a story created to make us feel like there is a purpose to life, like we are special. Live your life and enjoy it.
