When I was in elementary school my class sang this and a bunch of other Christmas songs for all of our parents. I still have these songs memorized since we practiced them a lot around Christmas. We sang Pinecones and Hollyberries too. It was really fun.

They were playing this song on an outside P.A. system, at Bear Mountain State Park near West Point NY, in the snow, in December 1975, right when my wife and I became engaged. Sinatra is the best ever, by far! Brings back happy memories. Thanks for posting!

thanks for posting the entire disc. It has long been one of my favorite christmas compilations. The credit goes to Gordon Jenkins. If memory serves, Sinatra co wrote this one with someone, and on the liner notes didn't speak too highly of it, as not to put his work over the other great tunes here. Opposite effect for me. I've listened to this for years, at home and at work, when I managed a Music store. Never tired of it and still love Frank. Best christmas cd of them all and my Time Life set.

I had a store in West Town Mall, Knoxville for 21 years. They played this song hundreds of times between Thanksgiving and Christmas every year. I grew more than a little tired of it over time. However, I am still a big Sinatra fan.
