This slide show and accompanying track are just too cool. The movie Jaws and the actor that made it, Robert Shaw, are both unique and timeless. The rare photos of Shaw wreak with his good-naturedness. Great job, EddieMc1!
Steven Spielberg wanted some actor named Sterling Hayden (who was in The Godfather film) to play the part of Quint. He couldn't, so the next choice was actor Lee Marvin but he wasn't interested. The producers then asked Robert Shaw to play the part and what a great choice that was.Shaw should've received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role of Quint in JAWS.
@Victor1970s yep. i just can't picture anyone else pulling off that part like shaw did. and he hands down deserved the oscar. i don't even know who got it that year but i doubt he matched this unforgettable performance.
@geovettes In 1975, Robert Shaw was hands down the best actor in the thriller JAWS, but, AMPAS, the creators of the OSCARS, didn't think so. To make matters worse, none of the three leading actors received any Academy Award nominations for their roles. That year, George Burns won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the comedy, The Sunshine Boys.
posiblemente sea una de las mejores por no decir la mejor escena de tiburon el monologo de Quint en el barco y no menos su muerte devoraddo por tan extraordinaria criatura.Una de las mejores peliculas de spielberg.
I love this track. The bites from the film (pardon the pun) are perfectly placed. My favorite is the "Mr. Quint I ain't goin'" . . . Included from a scene that thankfully didn't make the final cut of JAWS. And for a "roughly produced" slideshow, the images were pretty smooth.

Great work, I've been laughing my ass of while I was listening to it. Would you make an mp3 file available for download? (:

Ya, Quint doesn't go for no sissyboy music. A seafaring chantey would be more appropriate...
