He was living part of the time in W. Palm Beach, FLA with his manager/girlfriend so I think this is from a venue down there called the Comedy Corner. Sounds like it was Oct. 1993, shortly after the Letterman show debacle. Read the book Bill Hicks: Agent Of Evolution.
Great work, Efreeti; really different gig this one, much more of the philosophical reflecting going on rather than sketch work. Most enjoyable. Vielen Dank..
Thank you for posting this! I loved it! Bill was a brilliant comedian, and commented on us goofy human beings and our quirks! He seems to have felt about humanity like I do. I love em, but seriously think mankind needs therapy! A collective slap in the face! like if you could line all people up, go running down the line slapping their faces like a kid raking a stick against a fence making a rat-ta-tat-tat noise! I try to have hope for us, but I look around sometimes in a state of exasperation!
Well I certainly enjoyed that. If nothing else I can say that the man had integrity and heart. What else is more rare in our society than that. I think his shit is pretty funny. I enjoy the segments where he isn't joking but the idea that he is presenting is so far beyond his audiance that they laugh anyways. Lastly to his detractors, on Bill's behalf, go fuck yourself. Not that you don't have the right to your opinion, but I also have the right to say it.
It was a crying fucking shame that he died so early, but one thing is certain: he lived an authentic life. How many people can you say that about today?

My sister died of pancreatic cancer too. This guy told it like it is - fearlessly cut through our pretentions. Thanks for posting. Rest In Peace Bill

Sucks when your entire family are simple minded religious drones.

This is 10/10 for a standup, show, too bad all the good people die early, or get shot as Bill used to say in his own show...

No problem. I've been thinking for a while about putting it up, as I haven't seen this show anywhere else.
