i remember this. i was driving down desmeurons from st. b into st. vital and i had to park and get out by the field at blenheim to admire the weird clouds and lightning b4 it hit.. i could see the rain billowing toward me so i got back in my car. just in time too - it was already hail by the time i crossed fermor. crazy storm. funny how some are so distinct you can actually recall it and share it with total strangers months or even yrs later. just no mistaking that huge arch in the clouds
I went driving around in that storm. Weird thing was it lasted an hour. i was by superstore down raleigh and gateway. it was about 9:00pm and i gotta say that 15 min before the storm as the sun was setting u could see amazing blue sky then as you pan towards the west BOOM its what you see in this video lol. It passed right over my location and Poured rain 10 min into the storm. no THUNDER which was odd
@JubiTheVille I was in a similar area as well, near the Chief Peguis trail/Vince Leah park. I was out on my mountain bike and saw it coming from over North McPhillips area near that large weather tower near the City of Winnipeg water plant.
Clear as day on one side, black and orange on the other. I stayed in the storm biking around until hail started, then took cover under some soccer benches at Vince Leah. Very exciting experience, once in a lifetime.
