This works great, watched it about 10 times and started implementing. I will be putting a video up myself soon. I used some stronger magnets and a high velocity bearing. Put the pulley/hub onto an alternator, hooked up to 2 batteries, a 700 watt Power Inverter. Plugged in my 42" LCD Tv, so far we are at 53:44: and some seconds, non-stop. Thanx for the help, going to expand this to a much bigger model next week. :)

Perpetual motion can't exist because whatever energy you take has to be replaced. For instance you can't harvest energy from gravity unless you added energy or mass.

Let's ignore the law of conversation of energy (disliked by all those who don't understand it) the simple fact is if you measure the force with which two magnets repel at a certain distance it has to equal the force required to bring them together at that same distance. Therefore there is no net energy or force gain. OK?
@zzytrewq I already got that concept... It's just that I don't like being sceptical about things and I believe anything can be achieved one way or another. What I was surprised about was how people who already "know" that these devices don't work just keep watching it anyway. I am amazed at how so many people seem not to have had and education on really basic stuff. Electrons behave as particles and waves and their movement about the nucleus is not like you would imagine - it can't be compared say with the moon circling the earth. Greater minds than mine have defined how it does what it does using the language of quantum mechanics to describe it. Simply put the electron isn't burning up energy to revolve.

This is so simple, yet out of all of these motored I've seen yours appears to work. And for everybody saying this is impossible, magnets and gravity are complicated subjects we know little about. Objects like earth and magnets seem to have infinite potential energy, try sending this to Mythbusters, who have debunked 3 other lame models.
Think of magnets like springs. If two magnets are attracted and accelerate towards each other, some energy is "produced" BUT you will need EXACTLY the same amount of energy to restore the initial position of that two magnets. This is true regardless of whatever kind of arrangement of your magnets. Since you "need" the same amount of energy that you "produce" you will win nothing. Since there are losses you will need to bring some extra energy from outside to get some sort of constant rotation.
@checksummedchest I had a look at that site, if your so up for taking down the oil company's and providing free energy, then you would have made the blueprints FREE. I will NOT buy blueprints that provide no actual proof of working, other than a video of a motor that could actually be runny with electricity or air.

I can't begin to tell you how much made up bullshit was in yours. Firstly though the device in the video doesn't spin of its own accord. @lysergicallycorrect I spent some time replicating the setup this guy has. yes. perhaps i missed something but , i believe if it was that simple this would be everywhere on youtube with evolved versions. Do you have information about this setup being workable? I also tried other variables more magnets on one side and less on the other visa versa and so on. At this point i do not believe this is a working device, but with plausible information i can change my belief. I am open to the truth.

This is so simple, yet out of all of these motored I've seen yours appears to work. And for everybody saying this is impossible, magnets and gravity are complicated subjects we know little about. Objects like earth and magnets seem to have infinite potential energy, try sending this to Mythbusters, who have debunked 3 other lame models.

Think of magnets like springs. If two magnets are attracted and accelerate towards each other, some energy is "produced" BUT you will need EXACTLY the same amount of energy to restore the initial position of that two magnets. This is true regardless of whatever kind of arrangement of your magnets. Since you "need" the same amount of energy that you "produce" you will win nothing. Since there are losses you will need to bring some extra energy from outside to get some sort of constant rotation.

@checksummedchest I had a look at that site, if your so up for taking down the oil company's and providing free energy, then you would have made the blueprints FREE. I will NOT buy blueprints that provide no actual proof of working, other than a video of a motor that could actually be runny with electricity or air.
