Thats pretty stupid, using shovels to knock snow off the roof. They're destroying the tiles doing that.
Then again our neighbours thought they could get rid of snow on their drive by pouring bioling water out of a kettle on it. I eventually pointed out if they knew what happens to water once it's get cold.
A whole front yard covered in ice, fuckin' letheal.
As a homeowner, I can say that this is perfectly normal up here in the arctic circle area. I'd be crazy if I didn't take care of my house's roof.
