No one could ever be thankful enough for all the AIDS awareness that finally caught on worldwide in the early 90s and profuses to this day, as a result of your commitment.

It's also a lesson for future generations:

Political institutions can never be left to their own devices; when dealing with a crisis, they count their losses & demonize those suffering.

So be careful, in the future.

earlier that same morning, 5members of act up/sf were arrested for chaining themselves to the doors of the pacific stock exchange.

11 days later, for the first time ever in its history, the golden gate bridge was shut down by a political protest. a group called stop aids now or else shut down the golden gate bridge january 31, 1989. about 27 individuals were arrested.
