  • It's so interesting how different it is now, we don't wash the babies at all now, they go straight to their mother and are dried on her chest. Everyone has to wear gloves though, newborns have very fragile immune systems and hands are the main route for spreading infection.

  • Things were much different back then. So many advancements and understanding today doesn't allow this kind of behavior when it comes to delivering babies, washing, and even handling the unbilical cord in this manner. That's just crazy how they did it.
