  • Ms. Salvo, do you have a technique that would remove the huge tattoo on michelle's lower back? I don't understand why attractive young women feel a need to disfigure themselves.

  • yoga pants:)

  • I use one of your text books. It is the Practices of Massage therapy.

  • @GoodJobGuy That's awesome!!!

  • @GoodJobGuy Thanks. I love massage therapy and massage education!!

  • @LAmassageschool I can't wait till I can learn hot stones and oncology modalities. I really want to work with cancer patients one day. But I need to get a job first.

  • anyone else notice Casey Anthony at 6:54 O.o

  • Damn I went to college and got the wrong damn degree. Are all massage clients young hot females? Sign me up!

  • Go, Salvo, Go!!!

  • those women in the corner are jelly

  • ive fantasized about getting a lower massage while in that fetal position didn't know it was a real technique lol

  • Would it be okay to have the client move closer to you (closer to edge of table) when they are in the fetal position and used your elbow to apply stationary circular friction, instead of using your thumbs?

  • @madeinsocal6 yes indeed ~ all these techniques can be modified

  • It creeped me out when it said "Hey is that Katie hiding behind the screen?" because my name is katie, and i am behind my computer screen :/

  • This is fantastic. Thank you Susan! I just completed massage therapy school and landed a job at a chiropractic clinic. You are the author of the book we used all throughout my schooling (thank you!) so, as you can imagine it's very exciting to see you at work!

I have a question...is this safe for side lying pregnancy massage? should it be modified? I know a common complaint of expectant mothers is lower back pain...

  • @FridaysVoice Thanks for the kudos. Yes, this technique is safe. Just modify according to her flexibility level and comfort.

  • wonderful! so helpful for a student just starting out, thank you! i love your videos!

  • @XxMoonlitKissxX Glad to help!!!

  • Look at the creepy little kid in the corner!

  • @EchoSP1 .. Okay you win, she is.

  • @coppertop098 Glad you liked it!!

  • I am VIEW 50,000! Thanks LA MASSAGE :D

  • @RedDaVincy Nice going, Red. Hope you are able to put these techniques to good use.

  • I am so unbelievably excited to start massage therapy!

I want to be able to relieve my mother of her severe back pain myself. I love helping people just as you had to this girl in the video. Great video and very informative! :)

  • @askmissstephanie Thanks. Glad we could be of help.

  • Whoa. My name is Katie O.o

  • I feel like it'd be a bit awkward with all those people watching XD

  • Also, the "where's your spine, I've lost your spine!" moment was giggle inducing :) love your attitude to your work!

  • One of the best massage therapists I've seen on youtube. Very informative :) Thanks!

  • @Annihilatenow WOW ~ THANKS. What a compliment. You have made my day brighter.

  • @LAmassageschool =D Good! I'm glad :)

  • ok maybe its just me but there is a high pitched noise in the background that kept me from enjoying this video

  • Excellent technique for both the psoas and QL!! I'll definitely be incorporating this in my sessions for low back pain. Thanks so much for sharing your skill and knowledge with us. Keep the videos coming!! :)

  • Great video!!

  • @Rosibel79 THANKS!!!

  • What a great demo! Never saw "Rainbow" (Into my toolbox 4 sure) Awesome comb of sev modalities. Stretching, lengthening, Cr Fiber,Isometric etc. Great way to isolate Q.L & Psoas. I'm wondering since U have client in this position could I transition from 'fetal' pos to cont right up the spine for some Scapular/ shoulder work before flipping to other side? Or better to incorporate this when rib cage still opened/ lifted in Rainbow position? ThanX!

  • @EFT4MeDebi Great modification suggest. Yes, go for it!!!

  • this is awesome

  • Simply great demo! I am so sure that if given the opportunity I would practice and then perform the rainbow technique on some people who really need lower back relief. Even though there are only 9 videos they were definitely worth watching.

  • @BunkySpewer Thanks. So glad the techniques are helpful!

  • how i wish i was the model for im suffering a severe lower back pain..

This is by far the most interesting routine I've ever seen. I learned a lot. Thank you Susan Salvo.

  • @midknightbluez Thanks. I appreciate your comment. Wish I had more time to film and post a few new routines.

  • Wonderful work Susan. I Study under Barry Harwood in Perth, Australia - He is brilliant and certainly the best Massage Guru I know, however, he does not have all of his work filmed in such a way as you do for ongoing reference. I am thoroughly enjoying all of your videos and I would like to commend you on posting them. Love your attitude too! -Karl.

  • @lemuthful Thanks. I'll try to post a few more later this year. I'm currently in the throws of the fourth edition of my first book. Lot's of changes on the horizon...

  • this is good... thanks :) hope you keep the TLC

  • this excellent... ive used this technique on many cleints...thanks so much for your instructions...i like to use the visional analogy that when they r in the fetal position their spine is like a slinky as the spine opens...

  • great video

  • Thanks. Let us know if there is specific technique you'd like to learn.

  • You give great instruction. Good job.

  • You massage the cutest girls!

  • I was so excited when I saw that your username is LAmassageschool - googled hoping that the school would be local so I could take continuing ed. classes from you. Went to the school's website and realized that "LA" stands for Louisiana, not Los Angeles in this case :( oh well! Awesome instruction :D

  • Yes, we get calls often asking if we are located in CA or LA. Sorry.

  • Thanks Susan for putting these videos online. They are informative, and you are as clear and thorough online as you are when you're teaching in person! I think these videos are a much better review and learning experience than most of the CEU courses I've taken!

    Great job!

    Eric L.

  • Thanks Eric. I am SOO glad you like them and they are useful. Hope you are doing well and stop by the school sometimes.
