Because of that, I have seen so many issues with Macs that are just as bad as what happens on a PC, just for different reasons. Mac or PC, find one that you can use and understand how to fix. Otherwise, you'll have a headache no matter what you choose.

Went to apple store and saw a mac for 26000NOK(norwegian kroners) it was exacly as good as my acer PC that costed 4500NOK... the apple mark on the mac and the design(wich i don't like) is worth allmost 21500NOK aparently...
OMG in my media arts class, we have a class set of those epic everything-is-behind-the-screen macs...and I just finished watching this video and I go to upload some clips off a camera...and it LOCKS UP! My media arts teacher spent 10 minutes cursing at it and him and I were both lamenting over how much we missed our PCs at home...he ended up having the rip the cord out of the electrical outlet to fix it.
I guess if you have the intelligence of a watermellon, this is how you operate your Mac. Shutting down a program causes the Mac to shut down? I wish I could duplicate that...but I never have. Stay with a PC. It equals your limit of intelligence.

Amusing video, but I've had the newest iMac for a year now and will never, EVER go back to a PC. This is a truly excellent piece of equipment. Honestly, I cannot recommend it highly enough to a prospective buyer.
My first computer was an i mac....And I seriously wanted to kill myself after that expirience. They're better now of course not like the 90's early new millenium. But when it first came out it was a piece of SHIT.
Mac users are like scientologists. You can't explain to them that they're wasting their money to feed a money hungry corporate entity that disguises itself as their friend. You just hope they'll go broke buying useless junk and stop trying to convert you, or else wise up.
Maybe that's why, then... Although Mac's are powerful and really user-intuitive, they weren't always like that. They DID lock up a lot, but then, we're talking about compiling a great deal of computer code, which would've taken several months with a windows computer (linux distros were out of the question for a normal person as well) to compile.
And let's face it, the problems we used to have with crossing files from PC to Mac are mostly gone nowadays. I remember having printng companys calling me all the time with the good old "Oh... you did this Illustrator file on a PC... ohhhh.....".
I don't get that anymore.
Now I just get friends telling me I should work with Linux instead. But that's another rant :-)

What really gives me the kicks is that he edited everything on a mac... and he "hates it". I remember I had a hard time trying to find the "delete" key (I was helping a buddy of mine, who swears to mac), which my buddy didn't know of either... only to find out macs don't HAVE delete keys. I like it's dock menu, though.
BTW if you like the dock menu, there is a PC version of it. Look out for Object Dock or Star Dock. It's nothing incredible, but it's eye pleasing to see your favorite icons do the wave thing on the bottom of the screen :-)

Don't judge a mac or a pc until you've used both for a long period of time.
I've had a Macbook for 1 year and I am never going back to pc. Nothing has shut down or crashed on me, yet. But 1 month before I got my mac, I bought the best Toshiba with Vista Ultimate or whatever you call it. Compared to what I have now, I was basically shooting myself in the foot every time I used that Toshiba.
Old Macs are freezers, not computers. We have one as a spare and... well. You'll be lucky to get anything done on that.
Then we got a Mac OS X and so far I haven't managed to crash it even once (my mom has, but she's something like a natural talent: give her any operating system and she can crash it in 5 minutes).

i used to use macs at school..and i marveled at how the whole thing is inside a monitor...so i bought one...6 months later i realized i would never be able to upgrade or customized the piece of shit. stick to PCs. at least you can upgrade them.

As a graphic and interactive media designer I have used both and find that macs are much more stable and user friendly. I have had 3 major PC failures in the past year that caused me to lose a lot of work and time. So this "Rant" is pretty much a bunch of propaganda b.s.

Most people aren't pissed off at the Mac, they're pissed off at Mac Fanboyism, where people try to claim that their system is better in every single way.. Because it's a Mac.
In the end it's all down to personal preference, as to whether an OS is right for the user or not. Plus, most problems that are claimed for both Windows and Mac aren't exactly true for every user.
I use a Mac OS 10 Tiger and I love it compared to PC's, then again I've had some annoying times with Windows and PC's... never can seem to get a good one. :|

Although I do love iMacs and this is older than time itself, I still find it humorous, mainly because it criticizes the old version of the iMac I had. Now that iMac computer was a piece of shit and I glad it's dead and no one will ever have to use it again in my house.
Mac OSX is a better designed OS than Vista- fact. However, until they have more things compatible with them (yes, I do use my computer for things other than Photoshop and Warcraft III) I'll stick with my PC thanks.

They DID lock up a lot, but then, we're talking about compiling a great deal of computer code, which would've taken several months with a windows computer (linux distros were out of the question for a normal person as well) to compile.

And let's face it, the problems we used to have with crossing files from PC to Mac are mostly gone nowadays. I remember having printng companys calling me all the time with the good old "Oh... you did this Illustrator file on a PC... ohhhh.....".
I don't get that anymore.
Now I just get friends telling me I should work with Linux instead. But that's another rant :-)

What really gives me the kicks is that he edited everything on a mac... and he "hates it". I remember I had a hard time trying to find the "delete" key (I was helping a buddy of mine, who swears to mac), which my buddy didn't know of either... only to find out macs don't HAVE delete keys. I like it's dock menu, though.

BTW if you like the dock menu, there is a PC version of it. Look out for Object Dock or Star Dock. It's nothing incredible, but it's eye pleasing to see your favorite icons do the wave thing on the bottom of the screen :-)

Don't judge a mac or a pc until you've used both for a long period of time.
I've had a Macbook for 1 year and I am never going back to pc. Nothing has shut down or crashed on me, yet. But 1 month before I got my mac, I bought the best Toshiba with Vista Ultimate or whatever you call it. Compared to what I have now, I was basically shooting myself in the foot every time I used that Toshiba.

Old Macs are freezers, not computers. We have one as a spare and... well. You'll be lucky to get anything done on that.
Then we got a Mac OS X and so far I haven't managed to crash it even once (my mom has, but she's something like a natural talent: give her any operating system and she can crash it in 5 minutes).
Anyhoo, this was hilarious. xD I love my Mac and would never give it up, but this made me laugh so hard.

i used to use macs at school..and i marveled at how the whole thing is inside a monitor...so i bought one...6 months later i realized i would never be able to upgrade or customized the piece of shit. stick to PCs. at least you can upgrade them.

Other than for video editing I will never voluntarily use a mac again. I used to love mine. I really did. Then I discovered that anything I could do on the mac (other than VT) I could do faster, cheaper and often easier on the PC.
Oh, and XP seems more stable than Tiger to me.
Sorry Apple, but you're nothing but Microsoft R&D these days.

This is funny to me but probably for different reasons. This guy obviously has not used a mac in the past 6 years. As a graphic and interactive media designer I have used both and find that macs are much more stable and user friendly. I have had 3 major PC failures in the past year that caused me to lose a lot of work and time. So this "Rant" is pretty much a bunch of propaganda b.s.

Most people aren't pissed off at the Mac, they're pissed off at Mac Fanboyism, where people try to claim that their system is better in every single way.. Because it's a Mac.
In the end it's all down to personal preference, as to whether an OS is right for the user or not. Plus, most problems that are claimed for both Windows and Mac aren't exactly true for every user.

I use a Mac OS 10 Tiger and I love it compared to PC's, then again I've had some annoying times with Windows and PC's... never can seem to get a good one. :|

Mac OSX is a better designed OS than Vista- fact. However, until they have more things compatible with them (yes, I do use my computer for things other than Photoshop and Warcraft III) I'll stick with my PC thanks.
