I really enjoyed this flying! Reminds me of the early releases of the BF 1942 mod "Desert Combat". That Chopper was awesome, nobody could fly it because you had to practice to even have it in the air, but when you learned it, o-boy it rocked my world!

Yea i was wrong i can make it go this fast. I just cant fly this low because i play on a really old 50 inch rear projection tv and its not very clear, plus it needs to be tuned badly from the moving it to my house. i tend to see light poles at the last second and sometimes manage to avoid them. just more safe for my passenger to fly a bit higher.

@Thelolwad The Havoc IS slower than the Viper. Some guys made a video comparing the Viper with the Havoc and the Havoc loses in EVERY single competiton. The choppers are very unbalanced I think.

btw: they made competitions like a race, turning speed, gaining of altitude and damage.

They must have scaled the speed back for the smaller maps on consoles. My helicopters do not fly this fast and they are not this responsive.. makes me so sad to be stuck with console... guess i just gotta be happy that consoles even get the game. Its still an incredible game, just a diluted version.

@raddpuppy70 Are you sure? I managed to fly pretty close to the speed that he flew in the video on PS3. You need to pay attention the pitching degree on his hud. Throughout the vid, he kept it between 10-15 degrees, and with some very delicate throttle control. Just practice, practice and practice and it will get easier as you master every little thing.

I honestly think I played with you in the beta, someone was flying exactly like this. At first I thought "Oh great, we're going straight for the ground.", but then I was just in complete and utter shock by how amazing the pilot flew.. Zipping through the forest, really low at high speeds.

@watzy13 Some BF veterans said southpaw is pretty good for console. I started out with legacy but I'm experimenting southpaw now. Default setting on PS3 is very trick to fly, I think it has something to do with the way we use L and R sticks on controller when playing FPS games.
