Phrasing was very colorful pulling out great chord tones, technique was excellent and for once I actually enjoyed the wammy bar.Very tasteful!! The guy who said it was kind of like a sax was dead on and I think thats a great compliment. I really like that guitar too :)

Pretty sick technique-wise. Musically it got a little monomtonous, mainly because there wasn't any kind of melody. The dude can play the @#$#$ out of the instrument, no question about that. I'm totally picky though -- to me, there are only a handful of "perfect" guitar songs in the world... this isn't one of them, but it's pretty bad ass.

Verry jazzy. It almost sounds like a saxophone at times. For the most part I like the notes he's playing and I like his tone, I just think it needs more space. Your earsn need time to comprehend phrases - if you're just ripping up complicated licks back & forth for 3 minutes straight it's frustrating (for me) to listen to. Good practice? sure. Good listening? Not so much.
This is pretty awesome as far as showing off technique, but i don't know why you keep interpreting it as a song because he never calls it that. This jam could just be a warm-up.

In my opinion he is one of the many many guitar players who care nothing about rhythm, and at least to my ear, their playing sounds plain. That is what jazz has thought me, rhythm is far more important than notes themselves...

In my opinion he is one of the many many guitar players who care nothing about rhythm, and at least to my ear, their playing sounds plain. That is what jazz has thought me, rhythm is far more important than notes themselves...

C'est effectivement décalé et c'est bien moi qui joue ;) C'était un cours au MAI, certainement filmé par un élève, pour expliquer le jeu en légato et les phrases inspirées du jeu fluide des saxophonistes sur un II V I... C'est effectivement très "démo" et ce n'était pas destiné à finir sur le net !!! ;)
