Yep!! Unfortunately you'll never see a full length shot of Grand Moff Tarkin. Why?? Because through all his scenes as Tarkin, Cushing wore Carpet Slippers. (Carrie Fisher said that she found it difficult to be interrogated by Cushing whilst he was wearing his carpet slippers.) The reason why he wore slippers is due to LucasFilm being just like Military Suppliers - They supply stuff in two sizes- Too big or Too small. Cushings boots were too small, so much so that they caused him great pain

dude, Tarkin was sooo bad ass. Second only to the Emperor himself. It was only after Tarkins death that Vader was able to assert himself as 'the voice of the emperor' second to the emperor. Infact, for those who know there history, Tarkin wanted to take the Deathstar to Imperial Center and blackmail it, making himself the emperor. :)

YES!!!! i thought i was the only one that loved and thought Tarkn was bad ass. It was only after Tarkin died that Vader was able to assert imself as "second" only to Palpatine. At this time Tarkin was pretty much second to Palpatine. Infact, for all those who know there 'history' Tarkin even wanted to take the death star and blackmail coruscant, making himself Emperor.

Grand Moff Tarkin is the MOST BADASS MOTHERFUCKER IN THE EMPIRE. Seriously, this guy is totally fearless. He was the only person hardcore enough to be able to tell Vader to stop doing something and actually have him comply. Piett and Needa were total wusses compared to this guy. Hell, the Emperor could tell Vader what to do, but so what? The Emperor was a Sith lord. The fact that Tarkin can't even use the Force and can still talk like that to Vader just makes him that much more of a badass.

Tarkin could give Vader orders because, although Vader was the Emperor's representative and a Sith Lord, Tarkin was, as well as being Governor of the Outer Rim territories and on the next rank of authority just below the Emperor he was commander of the Death star and as such, his authority aboard the station supersedes Vader's.
