Dude our media hypes this up just wash your hands and stay at least 6 feet away from sick people . If you get the H1N1 relax and call a Dr if you are not feeling sick. Just don't panic. The myths out there are untrue. The CDC would never give a vaccine if there were any doubts. Just take the vaccine if you meet the requirements.
Teenage football player on a high school team had this virus and didn't know what it was until he couldn't breath. His own antibodies attacked the virus and ate through his lungs then causing fluid to enter the lungs which caused pneumonia. Just the exposure of the game...His team and the opposing team caught the virus. If you think this is a joke go within 10 feet of someone with the virus and then in 3 days see how you feel about it then. It won't be so subtle then.
they're just trying to keep us afraid. i think its a way of controlling us. i doubt even 500 died.
my guess is that they do this for two reasons
1. more $ for the media
2. government (who can control what the media says) wants to keep our minds on stupid stuff like this, rather than having us think about important things (such as the war, which doesn't get near as much coverage as it should).

my teacher was saying the that this was crap. he was saying that they got a letter telling them that if just one person got the flu that they had to shut down the school for seven days. then like two weeks later they got a letter saying that if it got to be too many people (students and staff) missing, that they could then shut the school down. so that right there tells you its really not that bad. the media really blows it out of proportion.
My 80 year old grandma survived it. 80 years old! My uncle with hip problems survived. You just have to Stay home. WASH YOUR HANDS. And don't cough or sneeze on something.
They've actually said older people may be immune or very resistant to it. Considering it seems just like a normal flu otherwise (which is only very serious in young children and the elderly) that means that very young people could be the only significant risk group aside from immunodeficient people.
The reason newspapers don't tell us that the virus is slightly more deadly than the regular flu is so they can tell us a little more bullshit information to sell more papers.
What annoys the hell outta me is seeing these people walking down the street with masks over their faces! People still do that! Are they that scared? One time I was at an airport and saw a guy with one on. I purposely coughed on him. He stepped back and almost fell down. I must admit, it was pretty damn funny.

the swine flu at this stage is not even close to being dangerous but what scientists are not afraid of the swinu flu now they are scared that the swine flu will mutate and turn into something that can easily kill us, so the moral of my answer is get the swine flu now while you can and get the antidote then you cant get it later :) but like in iceland we dont even have enough antidote for like half of those who are infected and there are only like 200 infected in iceland or sum
The Flu mutates... every strain of it does. We know this, if it does-- so be it. People should be aware of the regular flu come flu season anyway. This is just regular flu as far as I'm concerned.
