Well, the NO (emissions) were too high something around 1500.. I applied seafoam twice on the car, I changed the O2 sensors.. Ohh I also added something called like CRs (G2P) into the tank, label read Guaranteed to pass Emissions test .. After all .. the BMW passed the smog test no problem.!!! So happy..
Seafoam was created by a fisherman in 1930 for his boat. 50% Pale oil 30% Naphtha and 20% IPA (rubbing alcohol). Chemicals from the turn of the century. Common misunderstanding - the white smoke is the pale oil and Naphtha, carbon is dark dark smoke. Catalytic converters love pale oil, and give you a P0420 as a thank you! Enjoy the ticking after seafoam? nothing like a dose of "3w" pale oil on those modern day lifters. Enjoy!
Hello there guys, I just did a smog test on my BMW 328i (1997) and I failed the test - the NO (emissions) too high and I'm wondering if doing (seafoam) this on my car will help ????
@Sanlatinboy Maybe but I doubt It. Sounds more like something on your emissions is failing. Like a Catalytic Converter or a smog pump.... Something like that. Any check engine lights or trouble codes?
@Sanlatinboy Nothing is wrong with your car except for ignorant EPA regulations. If you are burning the nitrogen in the air, then your engine is running lean. Now, the EPA doesn't like this because you are "polluting", however, a higher compression ratio with a lean fuel mixture gives you the most power and efficiency. So basically, all the EPA reg's are in place to make you use more fuel.
if you would like to piss off want your friends or enemies this into a bottle and then dump it up by their windshield ... not going to smell good next time a turn on their air...
Video is good, reading the comments, and I see people saying you have to change your oil if added to crankcase. Seafoams website says you don't have to, you can keep it in there, but check oild condition often. And if pouring in too fast can hydro lock the engine. "Oil compresses, water doesnt" That is a new one to me, Liquid cannot compress, so oil does not compress because it is a liquid. FWIW.
@LS6Z28 You make a good point. Lol! What i should have said is don't pour so fast that you make the engine stall out. Thanks for pointing that out. Thanks for checking out the vid.
@LS6Z28 I dont even know if stalling it out would be all that bad. Oil compresses, water doesnt. I am still trying to figure out if this stuff even works. The MSDS says its mainly mineral apirits. We used to soak carbon caked pistons in kero, mineral spirits even diesel to clean them but it took hours of soaking. Simply applying a mist of mineral spirits to a carbon caked piston for 10min wont make a dent. So I question how well this stuff really works. id like to see a before and after
@LS6Z28 You are correct. This product must be used on a regular basis. Id say every 2 to 3 oil changes it should be used. Depending on what type of Oil is used and where your fuel is bought.
what does the brake booster connect too? the valve cover? also some people put 1/3 in brake booster 1/3 in the oil pan crank case whatever and 1/3 into the tank... do you really need to put it in the oil pan? your just going to have to change it 250 miles later, it only makes since to do it 250miles before your going to need to change your oil anyway right? tell me what you think thanks best sea foam vid on you tube
@MXZ600sdipro The Brake Booster connects to the backside of Intake Manifold. For V-8s I usually put a little more Seafoam to them. You add the Seafoam to the Oil Pan 250 miles before the oil change is due. Depending on how old and how many miles the Engine has on it should depend on whether it should be added to the Crankcase. Any Evidence of sludge and carbon build up from cheap oil then I would add it before an oil change. Thanks for checking out the Video. :)
@scotts01Z71 thanks man, i didn't do a demonstration on how to do it but i did it today and i'm pretty happy with the results! it had a rough idle before and with the rough idle would want to move forward if it was in drive, so the rpms did vary quit a bit. but sea foam fixed it and motors runny happy again with 283,3XX miles! thanks for your video, best one that helped on youtube.

FFFFFFSSSSSSHWOWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWOWOWOHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSssssss pun pun fuck
if you do it this way, do you still have to change your oil afterwards? does it matter how much gas is in the tank when you do this? and also, how do i locate my vacuum line? i drive a 2001 Toyota Celica.
@evanreidel22 You only have to change your oil if you pour this in your Crank Case. I would make sure the gas tank is full. And last, Find your vacuum assist for your brakes(against the Firewall behind your Master Cylinder its called a Brake Booster) and pull the line off of It. Hope this helps.... Thanks for checking out the vid. :)
Every 3k miles..? That's overkill man. Every 20k miles if you're living in the city, or 40-50k miles if you drive highway is sufficient enough. To each their own though.
hi, i just bought a used truck from a private party and did most basic maintnence on it, like an oil change, i wanna run seafoam through but dont wanna change the oil again as its only been driven about 500 miles on the current oil. is there anyway i can do this without changing the oil?
@DZenitram23 It has a Smog pump? Usually these engines have an EGR Valve. If it has a Smog pump it will be driven by the Serpentine Belt In line with your other components. AC, Power Steering, Alternator.... If it has an EGR that is Located on top of the Engine on the right side just In front of the Oil Cap. Hope this helped.
hi i dont wanna use Zmax anymore and I wanna clean out my engines bottom end. you say you can just pour this in the oil before changing it. How will is help? Thanks
@Habeev07 well if you want to put it in the oil its best to go 1/3 oil, 1/3 vacuum line, 1/3 gas.. but you will have to change your oil before 250 miles...
@SuperchargedMustang5 Basically this will clean the top end of the engine of carbon build up. Intake, valves, combustin chambers. You can put It in your fuel tank or go straight to the source and run it through a vacuum line off of the Intake. Pour it in your oil (500-1000 miles before changing) to clean the bottom end of your engine.
@51ENGINE51 This is the quickest way to get It Into the Intake other than pouring directly Into the Throttle body or Carb. I would not recommend that as it could flood the engine and you will have a really hard time getting it started again. A good vacuum source such as the one In the video will send it to all of the Intake and top end of the engine.
@UNIFLIC Doing It this way goes straight to the source so to speak. Basically cleaning the whole top end of the engine. You can also add It to your oil just before an oil change(150-200 miles before oil change is due) To clean the bottom end. : )
Cool vid man! I've seen that done a couple of times, but guess I never really studied on it. Thought it was basically a process for damaged engines.....?
Oh yeah, NIIIIIIIIICE treads on there ;) Hope to see those in action SOON :)
@rekjavicxxx Thanks Man! Not really for damaged engines It just keeps everything clean so to speak. Yes you will be seein those MT's In action real soon. :)
After you let it sit and restart it do you plug the vacum pump back in?
