And don't forget about the TurboExpress (aka PCEngine GT). Amazing screen, even to this day it's gorgeous. Makes the Nomad look like shit.
This is my most prized possession....no contest.
I'd lie in bed watching TV on it when I was supposed to be asleep, it was great. lol
Sucks that TV stations have gone digital, rendering the TV aspect of the tuner useless, but it does have a video input on it. You can hook your NeoGeo up to it and play on that beautiful screen. hahaha
@MrCumstein Yeah that does suck about the TV stations going digital aha, I agree though the Turbo Express was gorgeous, I thought the same about the Nomad though too, I actually still play my TurboGrafx-16 every day aha. :P
@MrCumstein Sounded like I was calling the Nomad a piece of shit, but really I wasn't. It's awesome too. The thing is it's screen isn't much better than the GameGear screen, which isn't a whole lot better than the Lynx screen. They're representative of LCD technology at that time, whereas the Turbo Express screen was extraordinary at that time, and still holds up well today, which is pretty impressive imho.
@MrCumstein Yeah it did kind of sound that way lol, the Game Gear I would understand lol. xD
Well I've played a few Game Gears, every single one of them had a damaged screen, pretty faded, however all the Nomads I've come across have crystal clear sound and screen, maybe just luck of the draw aha. :P
Hell yeah, the TurboGrafx-16 was so ahead of it's time, hands down my favorite system of all time.
Love this system!! Still have it and all the stuff with it. I love the fact that you could use the same hucards for the turbo express(which also serves as a tv). This one had lots of games. Military madness is the stuff. Bomberman, all the racing games. My PS3 just went down, so I think I'll bust this out for ol time sake. Funny thing...my Turbo graphics system still works, yet my PS3 is broken..interesting.
The TG 16 is a great console. There are plenty of games worth playing on it. Splatterhouse and some of the sidescrolling and vertical shooters are great. Not to mention Bomberman. Bomberman fucking pwns.
Thanks for showing the TurboGrafx-16 some love, it definitely deserves it!
I always leave mine hooked up to my TV aha. :P

My favs:
Military Madness:Just an awesome turn based strategy game.Simple yet deep.
Ninja Spirit:If you like action games, get this. Superb control and great visuals.
Neutopia: It's a Zelda clone, but it's a damn good Zelda clone.
Dungeon Explorer: Compare to Gauntlet, only better, and 4 players.
World Class Baseball: Yeah it's the only baseball game for the system, and it's a great one.
Devil's Crush: Best pinball game I've ever played.
..and there's more, but I've run out of characters :D

My cousin had one of these. He had some game that was kind of like Blaster Master. It totally sucked.
